We are excited to introduce our environmental education grant program! Grants are available for all third and fourth grade classrooms to support projects such as field trips to the Boonshoft Museum, Cope Environmental Center, and landfill or recycling facilities. Previous grants have funded garden and greenhouse initiatives, recycling programs for schools, and the establishment of Earth clubs.
The scope of funding is quite broad, and we would be delighted to assist you in determining whether your project aligns with our guidelines. You can apply for a grant of any amount up to $1,000 for the school year. The allocated funds must be utilized within the same academic year.
Proposals can encompass a variety of initiatives, including but not limited to new or expanded recycling programs at the school, project materials, books, activities, and field trips that educate students on responsible stewardship of our natural resources. We also provide scholarships for seniors from Randolph County who plan to study environmental sciences in college.
