This technology provides a compact, cost-effective alternative designed for long-term in-situ deployment with real-time monitoring capabilities.
Specifically, in this project, Page Technologies, Inc., aims to improve its low-concentration accuracy to ensure nitrate levels are below drinking water standards, improve the durability of the device, expand the device’s capability in remote and industrial environments, and finalize the web-based platform for monitoring and updating the sensor in real time.
AxNano , Inc., will use its Phase II award titled “Reclaiming Beneficial Biosolids: A PFAS Removal and Destruction Approach” to develop a technology for treatment of PFAS-impacted biosolids, combining a non-destructive separation technology with a proven PFAS destruction pathway that breaks down carbon-fluorine bonds. This technology provides a cost-effective solution that prevents “forever chemicals” from re-entering the environment.
In this project, Ax Nano, Inc., will address limitations identified in Phase I and demonstrate the implementation of the pilot technology in real-world environments.
ENF Products , LLC, will use its Phase II award titled “Advanced Nanofiber Filter Kit for Mitigating Air Toxics,” to advance the development of ENtrap, a multifunctional electrospun nanofiber (ENF)-based filter medium designed to retrofit onto existing filters and integrate into new products. ENtrap captures particulates, VOCs, and pathogens while lowering energy consumption by up to 30% compared to standard methods.
In this project, ENF Products, LLC, will investigate cheaper, biocompatible, and more effective natural materials and optimize the ENrroll system by refining dyeing, curing, and nanofiber processes to enable consistent, long-length nanofiber roll production.
EcoaTEX , LLC, will use its Phase II award titled “Transforming Agricultural Waste into High-Performance, PFAS-Free, and Biodegradable Fibers and Yarns” to develop biodegradable and non-toxic fibers and yarns from domestically sourced agricultural waste, including peanut, pecan, walnut, and almond shells. These fibers are produced entirely free of hazardous additives such as PFAS.
This innovative process produces sustainable and safe materials, reducing water consumption and diverting waste from landfills. In this project, EcoaTEX, LLC, will expand its feedstocks; enhance molecular alignment and mechanical strength; introduce innovative solution dyeing techniques; and convert fibers into staple and filament yarns for high-performance applications, such as athletic wear and home textiles.
Green Options , PBC, will use its Phase II award titled, “Development of Enhanced Inventory Management for Scalable Reuse Systems at Bold Reuse” to develop a Circular Inventory Platform (CIP) that manages logistics, inventory, and reporting requirements of reuse in a single, end-to-end management tool.
The platform includes real-time asset tracking, predictive inventory forecasting, automated reporting linked to life-cycle metrics, and dashboards tailored for different stakeholders. In Phase I, Green Options, PBC, successfully developed and tested a prototype system that replaces spreadsheets and manual methods with centralized data tracking, confirming feasibility and customer demand.
Phase II will expand these capabilities and prepare the system for commercial readiness.
Pacific Reclaimed Lumber & Supply (PRLS) , SPC, will use its Phase II award titled “Scaling Reclaimed Lumber Sales and Procurement Through Web, AI and App-Based Specialized Solution” to create a standardized digital database and point-of-sale website and AI-based software application for buying and selling reclaimed lumber and wood-based building materials.
This technology will promote the reuse and remanufacturing of reclaimed lumber and materials from the built environment leading to a reduction of solid waste and promoting a circular economy. PRLS, SPC, aims to address gaps identified in existing software systems by building a software solution that includes standardized terminology, quarterly or even annual sales data tracking, and a system for calculating environmental benefits.
Acadian Research & Development , LLC, will use its Phase II award titled “Biochar-Derived Graphene Products for Increased Concrete Strength and Sustainability” to increase the strength, durability, and longevity of concrete using biochar-derived graphene oxide (GO) additives. Their synthesis method uses a single reagent to convert biochar to graphene oxide products.
This approach will result in a low-cost concrete additive derived from renewable resources that can reduce concrete CO 2 emissions. In this project, Acadian Research & Development, LLC, will improve economic efficiency, durability, concrete performance, production capacity, and management of the exothermic (heat) nature of making biochar derived graphene oxide.
KLAW Industries , LLC, will use its Phase II award titled “Low Embodied Carbon Alternative for Stabilization and Full Depth Reclamation Utilizing Waste Glass” to develop an alternative to fly ash from coal plants and cement in soil stabilization projects, addressing concerns about cadmium and mercury contamination.
The proposed technology uses a new material generated from processed landfill waste glass (Colosseum) to replace fly ash and cement in stabilization projects, which will reduce costs and its carbon footprint.
In this project, Klaw Industries will use finalized material (recycled glass) in full-scale operations across multiple demonstration sites to prove that this technology can build longer-lasting, lower-cost, and stronger roadways for rural communities.
Prospect Growth , Inc. , will use its Phase II award titled “Nanoparticle Phosphorus Fertilizer Commercialization: Product Scale-Up and Multi-Season Grower Integration Trials” to develop a phosphorus nanoparticle-based nanofertilizer to improve crop yields by enhancing phosphorus availability while reducing application rates and leaching.
This can be accomplished because nanofertilizers have a higher uptake efficiency so that lower concentrations of fertilizers can be applied while still achieving desirable phosphorous levels in crops. Prospect Growth will optimize their phosphorus fertilizer formulations for in-furrow application and foliar delivery, refine their manufacturing process to lower production costs, and achieve commercial-level production.
They will also validate their technology through field trials across locations that possess diverse soil types. EPA's Innovative Water Infrastructure Workforce Development competition closes October 5, 2026. The agency says up to 15 awards across four project areas, but Project Area 1 alone carries a $7.8 million ceiling against a $10.8 million pot. That tension is the single most important strategic fact in the NOFO — here is how to read it, which lane is least competed, and what a three-week runway means for your submission.
Read articleEPA announced $3.5 million in competitive Clean Water Act Section 319 funding for Tribes on September 10, 2026, with a $175,000 per-applicant cap and roughly 20 awards. Applications close November 9, 2026. But eligibility was frozen as of October 10, 2025, and every application must contain an on-the-ground BMP project traceable to an approved management program. Here is how the gates actually work.

One maximum award would consume 72 percent of the pool. Here is how the four project areas actually partition the money, why the grants.gov award floor field is wrong, and why September 14 is the date that matters more than October 5.
