2025 AANHPI Fund Grant

2025 AANHPI Fund Grant is a San Diego Foundation program that supports nonprofits providing mental and behavioral health services to Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) youth and young adults ages 15 to 24 in San Diego. The fund invests in culturally responsive and trauma-informed programs that destigmatize mental health in AANHPI communities and improve access to care.

Priority strategies include trauma-informed screening and treatment, intergenerational connection programs that promote well-being, mentorship and leadership development pathways, and community outreach to reduce mental health stigma. Proposals may include creative youth development, family-centered programs, and in-language service delivery. Eligible applicants are nonprofits serving AANHPI youth in San Diego County.

San Diego Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander youth mental health grants | Youth Today THIS GRANT’S FOCUS: AANHPI Youth/Community, Youth Mental/Behavioral Health, Mentorship, San Diego “The AANHPI Fund celebrates the diversity of the AANHPI community and works with donors and community leaders to invest directly in solutions that address the challenges faced by AANHPI communities.

This grant supports projects and programs focused on well-being for AANHPI youth and young adults, ages 15-24, while providing and destigmatizing access to mental and behavioral health services utilizing culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices.

The AANHPI Fund 2025 grant cycle aims to support projects that employ one or more of the following key strategies: • Provide screening, treatment and/or access to supportive interventions: Provide trauma-informed, culturally relevant programs and interventions for AANHPI youth and young people, ages 15-24, to support mental health and well-being. Priority is given to programs that offer in- language services and support.

• Facilitate intergenerational connections that promote well-being: Provide opportunities for AANHPI youth and young people, ages 15-24, to build and maintain connections with community elders in a supportive and culturally relevant environment.

• Create pathways to leadership development: Provide opportunities for AANHPI youth and young people, ages 15-24, to access culturally relevant mentorship and leadership development opportunities that reinforce belonging and well-being.

• Outreach and education to create narrative change and enhance access to care: Conduct outreach and education to reduce the stigma of mental health in the community and ensure AANHPI youth and young people are knowledgeable and have access to high-quality, affordable and culturally responsive mental and behavioral health support.

Proposals can include, but are not limited to, creative youth development programs, family-centered interventions, peer-to-peer support, coaching and mentoring, or other culturally relevant programs that promote resiliency, well-being and belonging.

Proposals that include collaborations between multiple AANHPI-led/-serving organizations and/or projects that can demonstrate capacity to engage multiple AANHPI communities are highly encouraged to apply. ” Funder: San Diego Foundation Eligibility: “Grant applications are considered from 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations whose work is aligned with our mission and priority impact areas.
