2026 Medical Student Scholarship is sponsored by Northwest Oklahoma Osteopathic Foundation (NOOF). The Northwest Oklahoma Osteopathic Foundation (NOOF) offers a scholarship to support osteopathic medical students with educational expenses. Preference is given to students who demonstrate academic excellence and a desire to practice medicine in Northwest Oklahoma.
While not exclusively for minority students, strong academic standing and a connection to Northwest Oklahoma are key factors. Applicants must be lawful residents of the United States and demonstrate a connection to Northwest Oklahoma. Preference is given to those who intend to practice medicine in the region.
Strong academic standing and GPA are major factors. Finalists may be interviewed. Requires a completed application, a typed letter detailing how funds will assist, postgraduate practice plans, current connections to Northwest Oklahoma, and three letters of support.
Current medical students need letters from one Osteopathic Medical College Faculty, one Osteopathic Physician, and one Community Leader. Students accepted to a COllege of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) and beginning classes in August need letters from one Undergraduate Faculty Member, one Osteopathic Physician, and one Community Leader. A current transcript indicating cumulative GPA and class ranking is also required.
