Funding Opportunities - New Mexico Alliance for School-Based Health Care School-Based Health Centers New Mexico SBHC Definition Consent and Confidentiality Expectant & Parenting Teens Reproductive & Sexual Health Department of Health & Medicaid Resources Annual Fundraising Raffle 2026 SBHC Planning and Expansion Grant Thanks to funding from NMDOH, NMASBHC is offering 4-6 awards of up to $75K each for SBHC planning and expansion.
This application is for funds to be used in FY27 (July 1, 2026-June 30, 2027). Level 3 SBHC Planning & Expansion Grants will allow grantees to assess and plan for new SBHCs or expand SBHC services. This can include new brick and mortar SBHCs, new telehealth services, new mobile SBHC services, new services at existing SBHCs, etc..
Level 3 SBHC planning grants are available to previous SBHC planning grantees, current SBHC medical sponsors, or medical sponsors able to take over SBHC operations in locations previously closed. *Primary applicant must be a medical entity or current SBHC operator.
Goals of the 2026 New Mexico SBHC Planning & Expansion Grants Expand access to school-based health care by supporting new SBHCs — including brick-and-mortar, telehealth, mobile models and other innovative approaches in communities across New Mexico. Identify and address gaps in child and adolescent physical, behavioral, and social health by expanding services at existing SBHCs to better meet the needs of kids in New Mexico.
Build school and community readiness for an SBHC model of care by engaging stakeholders and establishing partnerships necessary for sustainable operations. Position grantees to submit a strong, competitive proposal for NMDOH funding to open or expand SBHC services in Spring 2027.
