Guidelines for Current Grantees Current Grantees & Partners The Parkinson Council invites current grantees and partners with a demonstrated record of results and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion to submit a proposal for continued funding. Priority will be given to programs that: Demonstrate measurable impact on individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease.

Clearly align with The Parkinson Council’s mission and funding priorities. Demonstrate responsible and effective use of previous grant funding. Expand access to care, services, education, research, or quality-of-life programming.

Engage communities that have been traditionally underserved or underrepresented. Demonstrate innovation, collaboration, and responsiveness to the evolving needs of the Parkinson’s community. Current grantees should submit a two-page narrative addressing: Use of Funds: How the requested funding will be used during the grant period.

Impact: The anticipated number of individuals and/or families whose lives will be touched. Outcomes: Specific outcomes or measures that will demonstrate the program’s effectiveness. Community Access: Strategies for reaching and engaging traditionally underserved communities.

2027 Goals: Key goals, activities, and anticipated accomplishments for the grant period. Budget: An itemized budget showing how The Parkinson Council’s funds will be allocated. Current grantees must also provide a brief summary of the prior grant’s use of funds, reach, outcomes, accomplishments, and lessons learned as part of their application.

A satisfactory prior-grant report is required for consideration of continued funding. Guidelines for New Applicants The Parkinson Council welcomes applications from organizations offering innovative programs in clinical care and services, research, education, or quality-of-life initiatives that directly benefit individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease.

Be located in the Greater Philadelphia region , including Southeastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and Northeast Delaware. Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in good standing with applicable federal and state requirements. Demonstrate experience, expertise, or a meaningful partnership related to the Parkinson’s community.

Propose a project that directly aligns with The Parkinson Council’s mission and funding priorities. Submit a complete application by the stated deadline. Grant requests from new applicants may not exceed $30,000.

New applicants must submit: Two-Page Program Narrative addressing: Purpose and need for the proposed program or project. How the funds will be used. Number of individuals and/or families expected to benefit.

Anticipated outcomes and measures of impact. Strategies for engaging traditionally underserved communities. Innovation and/or unique aspects of the proposed work.

Key goals and activities during the grant period. Cover Letter on Institutional Letterhead describing : The organization’s experience and expertise working with the Parkinson’s community. Relevant accomplishments, outcomes, and demonstrated impact.

Why The Parkinson Council’s support is important to the proposed work. Official IRS determination letter confirming 501(c)(3) status. Other sources of funding for the proposed work, if applicable.

IRB approval or documentation of IRB status , if the proposal involves human-subject research. Sustainability plan describing how the program or project may be supported beyond the grant period. Impact, Access & Innovation Improving the quality of life for people with Parkinson’s and increasing the number of lives touched remain at the center of The Parkinson Council’s mission.

In evaluating proposals, particular consideration will be given to programs that demonstrate: Meaningful and measurable impact. Increased access to care, treatment, services, education, or support. A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Strategies that address barriers experienced by traditionally underserved communities. Innovation and creativity in meeting the needs of the Parkinson’s community. Clear, achievable outcomes and a thoughtful approach to measuring success.

Responsible stewardship and sustainability of grant-funded activities. Funding decisions will consider both the quality of the proposed work and the organization’s ability to demonstrate impact, accountability, and alignment with The Parkinson Council’s mission. All funded organizations are required to complete a standardized Grant Impact Report.

Organization and program name. Grant amount awarded and grant period. How The Parkinson Council’s funding was used.

Confirmation that funds were used for the approved purpose. Explanation of any significant budget variances. Number of individuals with Parkinson’s served.

Number of carepartners, family members, or others served, as applicable. Number of programs, services, sessions, or research activities supported. Geographic reach and efforts to engage underserved or underrepresented communities.

Progress toward the goals and outcomes identified in the approved proposal. Quantitative and qualitative evidence demonstrating impact, when appropriate. A brief success story, participant experience, research advancement, or other example illustrating the impact of the funded work.

Challenges & Lessons Learned Significant challenges encountered. How challenges were addressed. Key lessons that may inform future programming.

Sustainability & Next Steps Plans to continue or expand the funded work. Additional resources or funding needed. Opportunities for future collaboration.

The Parkinson Council may request supporting documentation or additional information when necessary to verify reported outcomes or assess the stewardship of grant funds. Mid-Year Progress Update: A brief update on progress toward goals, reach, use of funds, and significant challenges or changes.

Final Grant Impact Report: Due within 30 days of the end of the grant period and serves as the primary report of program performance, outcomes, and use of funds. Failure to submit required reporting may affect eligibility for future funding.

Changes to Approved Projects Grantees must promptly notify The Parkinson Council of significant changes to the funded project, including changes to scope, budget, timeline, leadership, or anticipated outcomes. The Parkinson Council reserves the right to approve or decline significant modifications to an awarded grant. Unapproved changes or failure to communicate significant changes may affect future funding eligibility.

Compliance & Good Standing Throughout the grant period, organizations must: Maintain nonprofit status and good standing. Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies. Maintain required research approvals, including IRB approval when applicable.

Maintain appropriate records related to the grant. Notify The Parkinson Council of any circumstances that materially affect the organization or funded project. A grant award does not guarantee future funding.

Renewal and future funding decisions will consider: Demonstrated impact and progress toward stated outcomes. Responsible stewardship of previous grant funds. Timely and complete submission of required reports.

Compliance with grant requirements. Continued alignment with The Parkinson Council’s mission and funding priorities. Responsiveness to the evolving needs of the Parkinson’s community.

Quality and feasibility of the proposed work. Available funding and overall grant-making priorities. Failure to meet grant requirements may result in delayed funding, reduced funding, ineligibility for future grants, or other action deemed appropriate by The Parkinson Council.

January 1, 2027 – December 31, 2027 Grant funds should be used for activities occurring within the approved grant period unless otherwise authorized by The Parkinson Council. Applications Open: Wednesday, September 2, 2026 Submission Deadline: Friday, October 16, 2026, by 5:00 p. m.
