The application can be submitted between 15 October and 12 November 2025 at 16. 15 Finnish time. Applications invited from individual research teams or consortia composed of two or more teams.
Usually the PI is a researcher at the professor or docent level . Maximum funding €600,000 for four-year project, €1m for consortium project and €500,000 for consortium subproject; maximum funding proportional to project or subproject duration.

If you have a fixed-term position in a university’s tenure-track system, for example, you can apply for an Academy Research Fellowship. The four-year funding that can cover applicant’s own salary, salary costs of possible research team and other research costs. Maximum funding granted comes to €700,000 .
