In celebration of Older Americans Month, Pinellas Community Foundation (PCF) is proud to announce the ACT II Artist Grant in partnership with Creative Pinellas .
The grant is aimed to assist in the recognition and support of artists in the older adult community who embrace the practice of aging in place and inspire other artists and art lovers. In partnership with Creative Pinellas, PCF is offering four (4) grants of $2,000 each, totaling $8,000. The focus of the grant is funding the creation of original works of art that explore the concept of aging emotionally, intellectually and physically.
Works of art created through the grant will be exhibited or performed at the Pinellas Community Foundation annual meeting in 2019. The application window opened on May 7, 2018. All interested artists can apply until June 11, 2018, 11:59 p.
m. EST. Applications will be accepted in the following artistic disciplines: choreography, interdisciplinary art, media arts, music composition, theater/musical theater, and visual art.
Applicants must be Pinellas County residents ages 60 and above. Recipients of the grant will also be eligible to receive professional support from Creative Pinellas through its Art Business Incubator programs and workshops. All ACT II Artist Grant applicants will gain access to free and/or discounted tuition to development programs and seminars hosted by Creative Pinellas and its program partners.
