Awards of up to $10,000 will be made to eligible programs for direct support for individuals and/or families served or support for direct services staff. Information on the prevention spectrum of direct services can be found here.

Local Government Agencies in Virginia Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development Virginia Department of Health Virginia Department of Social Services Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services Agencies must have had a formal audit or review of accounts within the last three years. Nonprofits must have filed a current 990 form.

Agencies must not have awarded an ad hoc grant from FACT in State Fiscal Year 2026 (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026) for training or organizational capacity support. Awards will be made on a “first come, first served” basis in two separate cohorts. Funds must be spent within one year of the notice of award.

If funds are used to provide direct assistance to individuals and/or families receiving services, funds may only be paid directly to vendors. Funds will be distributed on a reimbursement basis. As such, programs receiving awards will be reimbursed up to $10,000 upon submission and approval of a narrative and accounting report and invoice.

FACT’s Executive Director shall have sole authority to determine whether submitted expenses are reimbursable under this program. FACT reserved the right to request and receive additional backup documentation of costs covered through this opportunity. Payment will be made via check from the Virginia Department of Treasury within 30 days of the approved invoice and reports.

Funding will be awarded to eligible programs who apply, on a first come, first served basis in two cohorts of 10 awards of up to $10,000. Applications will be accepted for the first cohort from January 5, 2026 to February 13, 2026. Notices of Award will be made on or after February 27, 2026 for services to begin on March 1, 2026.

Applications will be accepted for the second cohort from April 1, 2026 to May 13, 2026. Notices of Award will be made on or after May 27, 2026 for services to begin on June 1, 2026. The application can be viewed/downloaded here.
