Offered by Affordable Home Care Reviewed by Zach Skillings Last updated Jun 1, 2026 High School Seniors & College Students The Adair Caregiver Scholarship supports Michigan students who are entering caregiving through a CNA, HHA, or other direct-care certification program at an accredited community college, vocational school, or training institute.
Created by the Adair family, founders of Affordable Home Care, the scholarship recognizes students choosing important, often undervalued work in healthcare and direct care. Applicants do not need a minimum GPA, Michigan residency, or any employment commitment to Affordable Home Care. To apply, students submit a 400–600 word essay about why they chose caregiving as a career.
One recipient receives a $1,500 award, which is sent directly to their school and can be used for tuition, certification fees, books, or required uniforms. Founded by Greg Adair and now run by Austin Adair, the company provides personal care, companion care, respite care, recovery support, specialized care, live-in care, and other home care services.
