Adams County Fund for the Environment – Adams County Community Foundation (PA) Adams County Fund for the Environment In recognition of Earth Day 2021, the Adams County Community Foundation created the Adams County Fund for the Environment with initial support from donors interested in making environmental stewardship a shared community value in Adams County, Pennsylvania.
501(c)(3) nonprofits or organizations that qualify to receive deductible contributions as described in IRS publication 526. The applicant organization must have, or explain why it is exempt from having, a current Pennsylvania Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations certificate 1-800-732-0999.
The applicant’s nondiscrimination policies are consistent with the Adams County Community Foundation Nondiscrimination Policy on Employment and Grantmaking . The Fund’s grantmaking will support environmental education and local environmental projects. Grants that aim to educate our community around environmental issues, like climate science, renewable energies and protecting our waterways.
Grants that support boots on the ground local projects like tree planting, litter pick-up, and recycling. Currently up to $5,000 per year per nonprofit organization.
Submit by email, a Letter of Intent of up to two pages signed by the executive director and board chair, which includes: your federal tax identification number, the amount you intend to request, the purpose of the request, an overview of your intended activities, and basic background on your organization.
If you intend to create a collaboration with other entities, please list each organization and the expertise and resources they will contribute. Submit a letter of intent by email as an attached Word document to ma ** @ *********** cf. org by February 13 for consideration in April.
If there is alignment between your intent and our objectives, you will be invited to submit a full proposal to the advisory committee. Full proposals are by invitation only.
