Scholarship Application - Outdoor Access Project Outdoor Access Starts Here The Outdoor Access Project Scholarship Program helps individuals with mobility challenges gain access to adaptive equipment and outdoor opportunities that make adventure possible.
Whether you are looking for more independence, meaningful time outside with family, or the ability to participate in outdoor experiences that once felt out of reach, this program was created to help remove barriers and open new paths forward. Helping More People Experience the Outdoors For many individuals and families, outdoor access is not limited by desire. It is limited by equipment, cost, terrain, and opportunity.
Outdoor Access Project helps bridge that gap through scholarship support for adaptive mobility equipment and outdoor recreation access. Our goal is to help more people experience Utah’s trails, parks, open spaces, and community adventures with confidence and support.
Designed for Individuals With Mobility Challenges This scholarship is intended for individuals who experience mobility limitations and need support accessing adaptive outdoor recreation opportunities.
Applicants may include: - Individuals who use a wheelchair or mobility aid - Individuals with physical disabilities that limit outdoor access - Families seeking adaptive recreation support for a loved one - Individuals who want to participate in outdoor activities but face equipment-related barriers Support That Helps Turn Possibility Into Participation Scholarship funding may help support access to adaptive equipment, outdoor recreation opportunities, and related program needs.
Depending on availability and eligibility, support may go toward: Adaptive wheelchair access, Outdoor mobility equipment support, Participation in Outdoor Access Project programs, Adaptive Adventure Day opportunities, and more! Scholarship availability may vary based on funding, applicant need, and program capacity.
Adventure Should Not Be Out of Reach A scholarship can help someone join their family on the trail, experience a community adventure, reconnect with the outdoors, or gain access to equipment that creates new freedom. This is about more than recreation. It is about opportunity.
