The Advanced Energy Fund provides grant funds for Ohio businesses, non-profit organizations, and public entities to complete energy efficiency and advanced energy projects. Projects are evaluated on technical criteria that will result in significant energy and cost savings. Awards will be given until funds are depleted.

5 million in state dollars for FY 2026. All projects approved for grant funds must comply with associated federal or state requirements where applicable. State funding is available through the Advanced Energy Fund, which is authorized by Sections 4928.
61 to 4928. 63 of the Ohio Revised Code. If selected for funding, applicants will receive details on the specific federal or state requirements pertaining to their project.
Development, at its discretion, may amend these guidelines, the grant amount, funding availability amount, funding source, application process, application timeline, or criteria in approving funds. Qualifying grant applications may be funded until all the funds allocated for distribution under this program are committed or until Development determines the program no longer suits the best interests of the State of Ohio.
