Affordable Home Construction Program | Fort Myers, FL - City Government Affordable Home Construction Program Affordable Home Construction Program The City of Fort Myers launched the Affordable Home Construction Program to provide homeownership opportunities for families in the City earning less than 120% of the area median income.
The City has already sold four homes, one house listed below is for sale, and two more homes are in the works! The City teamed up with two local builders - Tobler Construction and Tarpon Bay Construction - to build two brand-new affordable homes under this program — one located at 3349 C Street and the other on 3353 C Street. The house on 3353 C Street has been sold.
The sales price for the 3349 C Street home is $230,000. Interested? Please see the eligibility requirements below: Applicants must have individual or household income in the range up to 120 percent of median income for the Fort Myers / Cape Coral region.
Applicants must qualify for a mortgage for the full amount of the sales price of the home, less any down payment from a financial institution of their choice and obtain an unconditional loan commitment / qualification letter. Applicants that reside within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Myers at the time of submitting the application will be given priority over non-city residents.
Current residence must be documented by driver’s license or other government issued identification, current lease agreement, copy of utility bill, etc. Applicants must not currently own their own home and the AHCP home must be their primary residence.
