Starting in 2026, we will begin offering multiyear, unrestricted operational grants to provide some nonprofits with stronger, more sustainable support. To make this possible, our funding calendar will adjust so that half of our focus areas are eligible each year, allowing us to build a multiyear cadence, deepen relationships, and create more sustainable support for nonprofit partners.
This shift is based on partner feedback, philanthropy trends, and our commitment to clearer expectations, stronger collaboration, and long-term impact. How do I apply to receive a grant? Charitable gifts are considered for organizations that meet the giving criteria described below. Please review and confirm that your organization meets our eligibility requirements before submitting a request on our online application, the Profound Good Platform (PGP). If you have questions regarding the eligibility requirements, please e-mail your existing Community Investment Partner or grants@kronkosky.
org before submitting your request online. My organization is a valid nonprofit that maintains an IRS 501(c)3 designation. My organization operates within either Bandera, Bexar, Comal, or Kendall counties or a combination of the four counties.
I am not requesting support for event sponsorships, advertising, individuals, scholarships, K-12 educational institutions, sporting events, sports teams, or third-party fundraisers. What are the timeline requirements to submit an application? Kronkosky accepts grant consideration requests on an ongoing basis.
Focus areas are aligned with specific meetings of our Decision Committee. After creating an account and completing your organization profile in our online grant platform, you can save your application as you go and finish at a later date. Visit our How to Apply page to ensure you submit your Grant Consideration Form before the applicable deadline. When will I be contacted about the status of my application?
You will be kept up to date throughout the grant application process, including a Community Investment Partner (CIP) scheduling time to connect after the grant consideration form is submitted and before the application is complete. Once the application is submitted, you will be notified if your organization will receive grant funding on the day of the Decision Committee meeting.
At any time during that process, you can reach out to your CIP to touch base and receive updates. Am I able to view the status of my application? You can view the status of your applications by logging into your account and navigating to the “my applications” tab on the main toolbar.
GCF In Progress: You have started your Grant Consideration Form, and it has not been submitted to Kronkosky. You can still make changes to your GCF at this stage. GCF Under Review: A Community Investment Partner is actively reviewing your GCF and should reach out shortly.
GCF Declined: The grant consideration form will not move forward to the next step of completing an application. Full Application in Progress: You have been invited to complete the full application and submit it to the Kronkosky team. You can still make changes to your application at this stage.
Full Application Under Review: Your application has been submitted and is being reviewed by the CIP. You can no longer make changes to the Application but do not hesitate to reach out to your CIP during this stage. Approved/Declined: Your grant will either be approved and awarded or declined.
A CIP will contact you prior to this status change to inform you. Closed: Your grant award cycle has concluded. Your approved applications will now live historically in your “My Grants” tab.
I am not sure if myself or our organization has an account. What should I do? If you believe someone in your organization might have created an account but you are unsure of the login information, PLEASE DO NOT create a new profile.

Improving Veteran Mental Health Grant Program is a grant from The Cigna Group Foundation that funds nonprofits providing housing stability and wraparound support services to improve the mental health of military veterans. The Foundation committed $9 million over three years addressing housing instability and its mental health impacts, as an estimated 40,000 veterans go without shelter nightly and 1.5 million are at risk of homelessness. Funded programs include mortgage and rental assistance, employment re-entry training, and housing development for veterans. Eligible nonprofits must leverage evidence-informed programs and align with at least one goal: increasing permanent housing, improving housing affordability, or enhancing wraparound services for veterans transitioning from shelters.
