AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB Open Call - Cascade Funding Hub AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB Open Call Funding for SMEs and start-ups to develop, test and scale bio-circular innovations in agriculture addressing defined sustainability challenges across widening countries.
The AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB Open Call provides cascade funding to support innovative SMEs and start-ups in developing and scaling solutions for sustainable agriculture and circular bioeconomy. The call targets interregional innovation and aims to strengthen agri-biocircular value chains through practical, market-oriented projects. Selected beneficiaries receive financial support alongside technical, business, and mentoring services.
TYPE OF PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED : Projects focused on development, testing, demonstration, optimisation, or scaling of innovative products, processes, or services contributing to bio-circular value chains, including pilot and demonstration activities. SECTORS / DOMAIN : Sustainable agriculture, agri-food systems, and circular bioeconomy.
INDIVIDUAL OR CONSORTIUM : Applications may be submitted by single SMEs/start-ups or consortia of SMEs/start-ups (including up to two entities). Eligible countries are Poland, Latvia and Ukraine. SPECIFIC ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS : Applicants must be SMEs or start-ups established in Poland, Latvia, or Ukraine; proposals must have a minimum TRL 4 and aim at demonstration and market uptake.
SPECIFIC TOPICS OR CHALLENGES : Projects must address one of seven defined challenges, including circular nutrients, soil health, manure valorisation, water-smart farming, bio-based inputs, data-driven input reduction, and bio-circular agricultural practices. PROJECTS DURATION : 12 months.
BUDGET, FUNDING RATES AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS : Budget conditions / limitations: Maximum EUR 50 000 per project as a lump sum Payments: 40% pre-financing upon contract signature; further payments linked to two reporting periods, including up to 70% after period 1 and balance after period 2, subject to milestone achievement.
