Use the 2026-2028 initial recipient organizations list on this page to apply for funding from eligible not-for-profit organizations that use their specific networks and expertise to support other organizations' research and innovation objectives.

The program ends on March 31, 2028. The Accelerator is a pilot initiative under the Agricultural Clean Technology Program: Research and Innovation Stream . It provides up to $30 million in funding over 2 years through the Agricultural Clean Technology Program.

The Accelerator will provide funding to eligible not-for-profit organizations (Initial Recipients) that will, in turn, use their specific networks and expertise to further distribute these funds to other organizations (Ultimate Recipients) in support of their research and innovation objectives.

6,250,000 Canadian Food Innovation Network Guelph (Ontario) Canada Canadian Food Innovation Network will further distribute funding to Canadian companies that are creating new and cleaner technologies for the agri-food industry.

3,250,000 MaRS Discovery District Toronto (Ontario) Canada MaRS will further distribute funding to Canadian companies that are creating clean technologies for farming and the food industry, helping them to test and demonstrate how their ideas work.

3,250,000 Ontario Genomics Institute Toronto (Ontario) Canada Ontario Genomics will further distribute funding through it's HARVEST accelerator project, in collaboration with Genome Prairie and Genome Alberta, to Canadian companies to support the development and demonstration of clean technologies from start-up to scale-up.

7,000,000 Zone Agtech L'Assomption (Quebec) Quebec Zone Agtech will further distribute funding to Quebec companies through its NEXTERRE program, delivered in collaboration with Cycle Momentum and Ecotech Québec.
