usda. gov/wps/portal/nrcs/main/national/programs/financial/ama The USDA's Agricultural Management Assistance (AMA) program provides cost-share assistance to agricultural producers who voluntarily address issues such as water management, water quality, and erosion control by incorporating conservation into their farming operations.
Producers may construct or improve water management structures or irrigation structures; plant trees for windbreaks or to improve water quality; and mitigate risk through production diversification or resource conservation practices, including soil erosion control, integrated pest management, or transition to organic farming. student at the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science. For her dissertation, she is focused on small shrimp-like crustaceans called mysids – an understudied yet important part of many estuarine and coastal food webs.
