The GenScript Life Science Research Grant (GenScript LSRG) is a global initiative for life science innovation. It provides funding, access to GenScript scientific expertise, and opportunities to connect with the broader What research areas does GenScript LSRG support?

The grant program supports researchers engaged in projects that can significantly contribute to critical areas of life science research, including, but not limited to, AI- drug discovery (AIDD), antibody development, cell and gene therapy, vaccines, diagnostics, and biologics.

In addition to the general research grant, GenScript LSRG also offers a special AI Drug Discovery Frontier Grant dedicated exclusively to projects focused on AI-driven drug discovery. GenScript LSRG 2026 includes the Global Pioneer Grant, Rising Star Grant, AI Drug Discovery Frontier Grant, and Spark Pitch Grant. Funding levels range from up to $10K to up to $500K depending on the award What is the application deadline?

Applicants working on AI-enabled or AI-driven drug discovery should select AI Drug Discovery (AIDD) as the research area during application and provide a detailed project proposal and project budget breakdown, and clearly describe how GenScript services/products will be used to support the project. Funding, Services & Award Usage Which GenScript services and products are eligible? All GenScript services are eligible for the grant.

Eligible catalog products include reagents and consumables such as CytoSinct Cell Isolation Nanobeads, Columns and Separators, Enceed T Cell Activation Reagent, antibody reagents, protein products (including cytokines and growth factors), PCR reagents, and electrophoresis gels.

The following products are not eligible : AmMag Quatro Maxi-Plasmid Purification and Mini-Plasmid Purification, AmMag SA Plus Semi-Automated System, eBlot, eStain, eZwest, electrophoresis gel tanks, and Catalog Stable Cell Lines. No. GenScript LSRG funding is earmarked for GenScript services and products. It is not intended for salaries or products/services from other companies. Are GenScript LSRG awards provided as a credit?

Yes. the GenScript LSRG grant is awarded in the form of credits that can be used for services and products at GenScript. No cash or direct funds will be issued to awardees, in accordance with program policies.

Is tax on services or material costs covered within the award budget? The cost associated with taxes for services and products is covered by the funds provided through the Are shipping costs covered by the award funding? No. Shipping costs are generally not included in GenScript LSRG award funding and will need to be covered separately by the awardee.

How long do awardees have to utilize the funding? Regarding the award timeframe, as we have significantly increased the funding levels for the 2026 program, the awards are intended to support both shorter-term and multi-year research projects. Once the award is granted, when is a project required to start?

Projects are expected to commence within six months after receiving grant funding from GenScript. My institution has contract pricing or a procurement partner. Can I still apply?

The grant value is applied based on GenScript standard list pricing. If selected as an awardee, we can work with you and the appropriate internal teams to determine the most suitable ordering process. I am not familiar with GenScript reagents and services.

Who evaluates my application? GenScript has designated an internal committee dedicated to the grant evaluation process. All grant applications will be reviewed in a fully confidential manner.

How long is the review process? Award announcements are expected within 10 weeks of submission deadline. Can a Sales recommendation support an application?

A Sales recommendation may provide additional context during internal review, but it does not guarantee selection. The awardee owns all rights to IP made in the performance of services and products under the GenScript What does the “Contract” as the last step of the grant application journey involve? To finalize the application procedure, the GenScript team will present a "collaboration agreement" for review by the grant recipients.

Awardees will be asked to consent to allow GenScript and its partners to disseminate details about their research projects and affiliations for promotion and marketing purposes. This will be in coordination with the investigators and according to publication schedules. Moreover, the contract will specify additional measures to recognize GenScript contributions in diverse forums publicly.

Some examples include public posters or oral presentations, potential publications that employ data generated from the proposed project, co-author publications, webinars, and sponsored talks at international conferences. Can applicants review the collaboration agreement before submitting? The collaboration agreement will not be shared with applicants.

Once funding decisions are made, the agreement will be made available to the award recipients. The agreement gives investigators a lot of flexibility to decide how much they will engage in marketing activities with GenScript (e.g., webinars, presentations at events, developing case studies, etc.).
