Call for applications to participate in AI open innovation competition - EU Funding Call for applications to participate in an open innovation competition designed to drive major scientific progress in key artificial intelligence fields. The initiative features four distinct generative AI challenges focusing on autonomous robotics, agentic AI for engineering design and simulation, clinical datasets, and mobility.
Eligible participants include individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises, startups, and academic institutions that possess technical AI capacity and are established within European Union Member States or eligible Associated Countries. The competition follows a two-phase funnel approach starting with the Spark Phase, where selected concept notes win a €28,500 prize and advancement to the next stage.
It culminates in the five-month Advance Phase, where finalists participate in a development and validation programme before competing in a live demonstration for a grand prize of €100,000.
