To be eligible, climatetech startups must have raised less than $5 million in private capital and offer solutions that align with one of the two designated award tracks. The competition will award two grand prizes of $50,000 each to the winning companies, while the runner-up in each category will receive $10,000.

The 2026 competition features two distinct categories reflecting the dual necessity of combating and adjusting to environmental changes: The Climate Mitigation Prize: This track targets startups focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and addressing the root causes of climate change.

Eligible solutions include renewable energy, circular economy initiatives, industrial decarbonization, and AI energy impact; and The Climate Adaptation Prize: This track supports startups building resilience within communities and ecosystems. Eligible innovations include risk modeling, water security, heat-resistant materials, and advanced warning systems for extreme weather.

Call for applications to recognize startups and SMEs that effectively utilize Intellectual Property (IP) to foster business growth and positive societal impact Other EU Programmes , Expired grants ; Awards , Startup grants Call for applications for the 2026 Global Awards, an initiative designed to honor startups and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) that strategically use intellectual property (IP) to fuel business growth and social impact.

Eligible businesses must be registered in one of the 194 member states, employ fewer than 300 people, and generate an annual revenue of no more than USD 15 million. While SMEs must hold at least one registered IP right, startups are eligible if they have filed at least one IP application and are in the early stages of market entry.

The program will grant ten company-based awards across sectors such as health, environment, and creative industries, along with special mentions for the Best Woman Entrepreneur and Best Youth Entrepreneur.

Winners receive a comprehensive benefits package, including: International Recognition: Global visibility through an international network and an invitation to the awards ceremony in Geneva; Tailored Mentorship: Six months of personalized 1:1 coaching focused on IP commercialization and business scaling; Exclusive Access: Connections to a global community of investors, corporate partners, and the Global Awards Alumni.

Call for applications to recognize and support the efforts of start-ups in food education programmes The award aims to recognize promising entrepreneurial journeys by granting up to 10 awards of $4,000 each.

All entries will be evaluated based on four core criteria: the Innovation and originality of the solution, the Entrepreneurial Journey demonstrated through traction and resilience, the positive Impact on food system challenges, and the potential for Scalability and Growth.

Startups offering innovative solutions in the use, design, manufacturing, or commercialization of automotive technology are eligible to apply for prizes, which include a split money reward of up to €35,000, personalized financial and legal advisory services, and exclusive meetings with automotive and finance executives.

Global competition recognizing pioneering energy and climate tech start-ups Non-EU / Global / International Grants , Expired grants ; Awards , Energy Grants , Environmental / Climate grants , Startup grants The award aims to bring innovative climate and energy technology solutions to the world stage, empowering startups to accelerate the global shift to clean energy.

Startups founded within the last ten years, with at least a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 4, are encouraged to apply across five categories: Clean Energy & Storage, Industry, Buildings & Construction, Quality Energy Access & SDG-7, and Mobility & Transportation. Category winners receive an equity-free €10,000 cash prize and global recognition, while all finalists receive a paid trip to Berlin to pitch their solution.

Call for applications to recognize food innovations The award is designed to celebrate and reward the success of innovators, entrepreneurs, students, and start-ups who are actively shaping the future of food. This competition offers seven individual prizes of €10,000 each to recognize excellence, impact, and leadership in agri-food innovation.

Beyond the monetary award, winners will gain significant visibility through global channels, media exposure, and opportunities to present at high-profile events.
