AmeriCorps NOFO 2026-27 | servealabama Notice of Funding Opportunity The Governor's Office of Volunteer Services and AmeriCorps are pleased to announce the availability of federal funds to support new, recompete, and continuation Alabama AmeriCorps State applicants to start in September or October 2026.
This grant funding is available for two types of AmeriCorps program models: - Formula Cost-Reimbursement Grants and - Formula Fixed Amount Grants These grants are awarded to organizations that propose to place AmeriCorps members in service solely within Alabama.
2026-2027 Formula Grant grants are awarded to eligible organizations that engage AmeriCorps members in evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions to strengthen communities.
Nonprofit organizations, community and faith-based organizations, institutions of higher education, state and local government agencies, Indian Tribes, and partnerships among these groups in Alabama are eligible to apply for funds to operate local AmeriCorps programs that meet locally identified needs in the areas of disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, veterans and military families and rural communities.
2026-2027 Alabama AmeriCorps State - Notice of Funding Opportunity Training & Technical Assistance Information Due to process changes from AmeriCorps, programs will no longer apply in eGrants. Please see the appropriate Forms application listed below. Due to this change, the application due date has been extended to May 4th, 2026.
