and Hattie M. McClure To support the emergency bricks & mortar projects (i.e., repairs, replacements, etc.) of eligible United Way partner agencies in Southeast Louisiana.
The McClure Fund supports the emergency bricks & mortar projects (e.g., repairs, replacements, and additions to facilities) of eligible United Way partner agencies in the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s thirteen parish service area in Southeast Louisiana (Assumption, Jefferson, Lafourche, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St.
James, St. John the Baptist, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, and Washington parishes) of up to $15,000.
00. The intent of the McClure Fund is to fill the funding gap between major capital expenses requiring a capital fund drive and minor capital needs which can be planned for and included in an agency’s annual operating budget. Because of the limited nature of these funds, priority consideration will be given to those requests that are capital, in nature, and respond to a crisis and/or emergency.
The guidelines and priorities were affirmed at the Council of United Way Agencies on October 6, 2004. The Albert N. & Hattie M.
McClure Fund accepts only electronic application submissions through the Foundation’s online portal . The Greater New Orleans Foundation’s technology partner, Foundant, has created a brief tutorial for applicants that may be viewed here . It is highly recommended that all applicants review this video before beginning a new application in order to better understand the electronic submission process.
Proposals that are not submitted electronically may not be considered. This application process has no deadline date. Organizations will be notified of funding decisions within 60 days.
The McClure Fund does not typically grant to a 501c3 organization more than once in a twelve-month period. The McClure Fund does not typically fund 100% of a project.
