Graduate Student Scholarships - Alberta Innovates Graduate Student Scholarships The Graduate Student Scholarships program provides funding to enable full-time graduate students to research emerging technologies at participating post-secondary institutions. Program Status refers to the state of work going on within this particular program.
If the Program is 'Active', it is either accepting new applications or research is currently underway. If the Program is 'Inactive', the Program is neither accepting new applications nor is any research being conducted. Intake Status refers to the state of the Program's call for new applications.
If the Intake is displaying 'Open', the Program is accepting new applications. If the Intake is displaying 'Closed', the Program is not accepting new applications. Post-Secondary Investments & Emerging Technology Funding scholarships for graduate students researching emerging technologies, ensuring that Alberta post-secondary institutions and companies can recruit top talent.
Graduate Student Scholarships - Program Guidelines The program offers funding ranging from $12,000 to $31,000 per year, and the terms vary from one to four years, depending on the recipient’s time in the program.

Graduate Student Scholarships Program - Seasonal Intake This scholarship program is open to Canadian, permanent resident, and international graduate students conducting full-time research in key emerging technology areas of information and communications technologies (ICT) and advanced materials and manufacturing technologies (AMM) at one of the following post-secondary institutions.

Submit your application to your institution. Wait for your application to be reviewed. Each of the participating Alberta institutions has scholarship application and evaluation processes specific to their institutions for students in programs of full-time study.
Please check with your institution’s faculty of graduate studies for information on evaluation. Students who have been awarded an Alberta Innovates Graduate Student Scholarship must complete annual and final reports through the term of their award and post-award reports after the end of the award. Multi-year scholarships are renewed annually after the first year upon satisfactory reporting by the student.
