Voucher Program - Alberta Innovates The Voucher Program provides Alberta tech companies with up to $100,000 to accelerate new product commercialization. Program Status refers to the state of work going on within this particular program. If the Program is 'Active', it is either accepting new applications or research is currently underway.

If the Program is 'Inactive', the Program is neither accepting new applications nor is any research being conducted. Intake Status refers to the state of the Program's call for new applications. If the Intake is displaying 'Open', the Program is accepting new applications.

If the Intake is displaying 'Closed', the Program is not accepting new applications. Entrepreneurial Investments The Voucher Program provides Alberta tech companies with up to $100,000 to accelerate new product commercialization.

Voucher Program - Program Guide Small to Medium Enterprise The Voucher Program provides Alberta tech and innovation companies with up to $100,000 to accelerate new product toward commercialization for novel, promising technologies, and an identified product/market fit.

The Voucher Program can help cover the costs of up to three contracted service providers for the purpose of business and technology development related to the following activities: New product research and development. Leading-edge design, engineering and prototype development. Advanced product testing and refinement.

Advanced market assessments. Other technology development activities may be considered on a case-by-case basis. You have fewer than 500 full-time employees and less than $50,000,000 in annual gross revenue.

You are a for profit organization that is incorporated, or a partnership registered in Alberta. You can contribute a minimum of 25 per cent cash contribution of the total eligible project costs. You have a new, unique technology or innovation that is patentable working toward commercialization.

Be a for-profit Corporation, General Partnership, Limited Partnership or Limited Liability Partnership and registered in Alberta. Companies must be Alberta-based with an Alberta footprint, which includes a significant physical and corporate operations in Alberta; appropriate Alberta ownership; and discernible intent that operational benefits will flow primarily within the Province of Alberta.

‘Crown’) corporation funded by the Government of Alberta. Our mandate is to deliver economic, health and social benefits for Alberta and Albertans. We are also subject to Government of Alberta directives restricting purchases from US based vendors.

Such purchases are not generally allowed except in exceptional circumstances. Accordingly, if you are using our grant funds to pay for goods or services, we require you to work with domestic (Canadian) suppliers only, or suppliers from a jurisdiction Canada has a free trade agreement with that is being honoured. If no such vendor is available, please advise us immediately.

In any case, our grant funds must not be used to pay a US based vendor without our prior written consent, which consent can be withheld for any reason.
