Honoring Alexandra Hallock Honoring Alexandra Hallock Alexandra Hallock, affectionately known to many as “Allie,” was a tireless advocate for nonprofit organizations in the United States and charities in the United Kingdom. Before her untimely passing at the age of 37 from NUT carcinoma cancer, Allie impacted countless lives, strengthened thousands of organizations, and inspired social impact leaders across the US and UK.

Allie was particularly passionate about organizations that advance human rights, girls' and women's empowerment, and LGBTQ+ causes, each of these representing a cause that echoed throughout her own life, community, and volunteer service. Not only was she interested in these causes, but she had a special place in her heart for grassroots nonprofits - small organizations with big visions driven by a true spark for making a difference.

By investing in the types of organizations that were closest to Allie’s heart, this grant aims to amplify their impact, strengthen their capacity, and empower them to effect meaningful change in their communities, long into the future. In doing so, we honor Allie’s vision and commitment to a world where every voice is heard, every life is valued, and every human right is upheld.

This grant provides a unique and comprehensive package designed to empower nonprofits and will be awarded in full to three organizations this year. Here’s what selected organizations can expect: Receiving a $20,000 unrestricted grant offers nonprofits the flexibility to allocate funds where they’re needed most. This financial support allows organizations to address immediate needs while planning for long-term sustainability.

Pro-Bono Capacity Building The grant also includes invaluable capacity-building resources, such as: A consulting engagement from Cause Strategy Partners experts, valued at $10,000. Access to Taproot Foundation’s Nonprofit Success Coaches, offering personalized guidance to maximize the use of pro-bono resources.

Long-Term Governance Support Nonprofits will gain permanent access to the BoardLead Nonprofit Network and Cause Strategy Partners’ BoardLearn platform . These tools equip board members with the training and insights they need to foster strong governance, ensuring organizations can grow sustainably.

Grantees will also receive significant publicity during the grant award announcement, amplifying their work and expanding their reach to new audiences and potential supporters. By combining financial support with resources designed to build capacity and governance, this grant empowers small nonprofits to strengthen their foundation and amplify their impact.

To be eligible for this opportunity, organizations must: Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in operation for at least 12 months Have an annual revenue not exceeding $400,000 Advance a mission and programs dedicated to human rights , girls' and women’s empowerment , or LGBTQ+ causes Be based in and serving communities in the United States Please note: Organizations affiliated with Cause Strategy Partners employees or advisory board members are ineligible.
