Alzheimer's Association Greater Michigan Chapter Respite Scholarships is sponsored by Alzheimer's Association, Greater Michigan Chapter. The Greater Michigan Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association offers scholarships to help cover the cost of day programs, in-home care, and/or overnight care. These funds can be used to pay professional caregivers, family members, neighbors, or friends.

Respite provides relief to people who are caring for individuals with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia. Time away from caregiving responsibilities is essential to the well-being of caregivers. Respite care helps to reduce stress and improve the quality of care provided by caregivers.

Thanks to our generous donors, the Michigan Chapter has respite care scholarships available in some of our areas that may be used to cover the cost of respite, including adult day programs, in-home care or overnight care.
