Amazon, Community Foundation Award $150K to 18 Loudoun Nonprofits | Giving Back | loudounnow. com You have permission to edit this article. Eighteen Loudoun County nonprofit s have been awarded grants totaling $150,000 through the Amazon Loudoun County Community Fund, a partnership between Amazon and the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties.
The grants are intended to support projects across five key focus areas: health and wellness, food security, community infrastructure for homelessness intervention and prevention, sustainability and environment, and social cohesion. Projects selected for funding range from direct financial assistance to ensure safe and stable housing for Loudoun residents to planting native meadows in a local park.
"These organizations are doing incredible work to address critical needs in Loudoun County, and this fund is about empowering them to achieve their missions," Amazon Community Engagement Manager Wilberte Paul stated in the announcement. "We're honored to partner with the Community Foundation to support these nonprofits as they create lasting change in our community."
Community Foundation CEO Nicole Acosta said the organization received dozens of applications from local nonprofits for the funding. “[We] know these grants will impact thousands of Loudoun residents. We deeply appreciate Amazon’s commitment to strengthening Loudoun County through the power of local giving,” she stated.
Amazon’s Loudoun F und launched in November 2025, offer s grants up to $10,000 to eligible nonprofits. Applications were reviewed collaboratively by Amazon and the Community Foundation, with selections based on community impact potential, and alignment with the fund's focus areas.
The following organizations were selected to receive funding: · $5,275 to All Ages Read Together to support kindergarten readiness backpacks designed to build confidence and connection for children in Loudoun County · $10,000 to ECHO to support expanded community and culinary experiences that promote wellness, inclusion, and skill-building for adults with disabilities in Loudoun County · $5,000 to ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia to support delivery of accessible medical equipment and assistive devices for Loudoun residents who need essential equipment · $10,000 to Food For Neighbors to support school-based pantry and grocery gift card programs serving middle and high school students experiencing food insecurity in Loudoun County · $6,725 to Friends of Loudoun Mental Health Inc. to support a rental assistance program preventing homelessness for adults living with mental illness in Loudoun County · $10,000 to Goose Creek Association to support environmental education and restoration programs focused on improving water quality and habitat in the Goose Creek watershed · $8,000 to Leonard W.
Kidd Memorial Post 2001 Charitable Foundation to support financial assistance to help veterans and their families in Loudoun County avoid homelessness · $10,000 to Loudoun Cares to support older adults in Loudoun County seeking financial assistance and access to human services resources to help maintain housing stability · $7,500 to Loudoun Community Media to support Loudoun County’s Excellence in High School Journalism awards recognizing and encouraging student storytellers · $10,000 to Loudoun Hunger Relief to support Community Connections resource presentations and community gatherings in Loudoun County · $10,000 to Loudoun Literacy Council to support development and implementation of a learning management system to provide virtual learning for ESL students in Loudoun County · $7,500 to Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers to support access to healthcare for people who use wheelchairs and adults with disabilities in Loudoun County · $5,000 to Manna from Heaven to support purchase of a commercial refrigeration unit for a food pantry in Sterling serving residents across Loudoun County · $10,000 to Shelter House, Inc. to support flexible financial assistance helping people experiencing homelessness secure and maintain permanent housing in Loudoun County · $10,000 to St.
Gabriel's Episcopal Church to support free, 9-week STEAM summer camp and expansion of after-school programming to improve children's access to enrichment activities in Loudoun County · $10,000 to Sustainability Matters to support planting two acres of native meadow habitat along the W&OD Corridor on Loudoun Parks and NOVA Parks land and community engagement · $10,000 to The Arc of Loudoun to support services for people with disabilities and families with low incomes in Loudoun County · $5,000 to Wellness Loudoun to support Loudoun County residents experiencing crisis or seeking support while they wait to access professional mental health care For more information about the Amazon Loudoun County Community Fund and grant recipients, go to communityfoundationlf.
