River Valley Black Chamber of Commerce | Business Assistance in Columbus, GA American Rescue Plan Small Business Relief Grant Presented by the Coalition of Black Chambers & River Valley Black Chamber of Commerce In collaboration with the Coalition of Black Chambers, the River Valley Black Chamber of Commerce (RVBCC) proudly presents the American Rescue Plan Small Business Relief Grant .
This initiative is designed to uplift and empower small businesses that continue to feel the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to an $80,000 award through the American Rescue Plan, RVBCC will distribute grants to eligible small businesses in our region. This funding opportunity is part of our ongoing commitment to economic recovery, resilience, and equity among Black-owned and minority-owned businesses.
This grant is not just financial support, but an investment in our community's long-term success.

Applicants must meet the criteria outlined in the eligibility section. What documents do I need to submit with my application? You may be asked to provide: -Certificate of Existence Can I still apply if I’m a new business?
No. Businesses must have been in operation on or before March 3, 2020. Do I have to be a member of the River Valley Black Chamber to apply? No — the grant is open to all eligible businesses.
Is the Grant Prep course required? Yes. All applicants must complete the course before their application is considered for funding.
What happens if I don’t complete the course? Incomplete course requirements will result in your application not being considered. How will my application be reviewed?
All applications are reviewed for completeness and eligibility, then forwarded to an independent review team for final decisions. When will I know if I’ve been selected? Notifications will be sent by email after the review process is complete, usually within 2-4 weeks.
How much funding is available per applicant? Award amounts will not exceed $5000 per business selected. How will I receive the grant funds if I’m approved?
