The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides grants to support volunteers aged 55 and older in a diverse range of activities that meet specific community needs and respond to National Performance Measures.
The program has a dual purpose: to engage older Americans in volunteer service to meet critical community needs and to provide a high-quality experience for the volunteers. Organizations determine where the need is greatest and how volunteers can respond within AmeriCorps' six focus areas: Disaster Services, Economic Opportunity, Environmental Stewardship, Education, Healthy Futures, and Veterans & Military Members.
