AmeriCorps VISTA

AmeriCorps VISTA is a national service program from AmeriCorps that funds full-time volunteers working with nonprofits, public agencies, and faith-based organizations to build capacity for poverty-alleviation efforts. VISTA members serve for one year to strengthen organizations' ability to bring more resources, skills, and community members to low-income communities.

Upon completion, members receive a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award of approximately $7,000 plus a living allowance during service. Eligible applicants are U.S. citizens or nationals aged 18 and older committing to one full year of service at an approved project site.
