Animal Welfare Grants is sponsored by The Pollination Project. The Pollination Project offers seed grants to individuals and groups working to protect animals, with a special interest in reducing the consumption of land and sea animals raised using industrial agriculture practices and advocating for farmed animal welfare.

The Pollination Project Foundation empowers passionate volunteers across the globe by providing the critical funding they need to uplift their communities, cultures and countries. Recognizing the untapped potential of frontline changemakers, we bridge the gap in resources with grants up to $500.

These small yet powerful investments have shown us that even modest support can ignite significant impact. Our dedicated team of 75 grant advisors and 5 country coordinators, all experts in their fields, guide our funding decisions to ensure every dollar fuels meaningful change.

Beyond financial support, The Pollination Project Foundation assists grantees in taking their initial steps towards fundraising and offers first belief in their mission. Additionally, we offer capacity-building workshops, mindfulness retreats to prevent burnout, and resource navigation to ensure that our grantees’ work achieves tangible goals.

For farm animal advocates, we are able to offer large initial capital and follow on funding of up to $10,000. At TPP, we believe in people, so we invest in people. She is dedicated to promoting diversity, inclusion, and gender equality through innovative literary programs at the National Youth Foundation. Founded and led by three Black women and a Black teen, the organization’s mission is deeply rooted in social justice.

They operate four core programs: ❇️ “I Matter”: Initiated by Isabella Hanson, the youth co-founder, this program includes a national poetry and art competition focusing on racial injustice. NYF publishes an annual book of top entries and donates copies to underserved libraries and schools nationwide. They also host youth-led, diversity-focused poetry workshops nationally and internationally.

❇️ The Amazing Women’s Edition: A national book competition where students write about women whose stories deserve recognition. NYF selects, publishes, and donates the winning books to underserved libraries and schools. ❇️ Student Book Scholars: A team writing contest in collaboration with professional athletes from NFL, NBA, and MLB, emphasizing kindness and anti-bullying.

❇️ Youth Writing Workshops: NYF collaborates with community centers and schools in underserved areas across the country to research and create biographical stories about prominent local leaders. ✴️ Why do you choose to serve as a grant advisor? TPP was one of the first funders for the National Youth Foundation back in 2017.

Having support from an internationally recognized funder helped our organization develop the strength we needed to believe that we were the changemakers meant to work in the social justice literary space.

In Nairobi, George Lubanga is building something remarkable: a sensory-friendly space where neurodiverse children can explore their emotions through play, collaborative art, and art therapy.

Through Mind Bridge Community Care, George has spent years watching what happens when you place simple art materials in front of a child who is overwhelmed and misunderstood. The room changes. The quiet child begins to draw their world.

The restless one finds focus through movement and creativity. The Sensory Play and Art Circle is that belief turned into action. Children participate in guided sessions that encourage expression, movement, and connection.

Siblings join in, families grow closer, and caregivers gain new ways to understand the children they love. This is what grassroots philanthropy makes possible: a community practitioner, a vision, and a space where children feel seen. The Pollination Project is proud to support George`s work.

It never was. Nicola Kagoro has been proving that in Harare, Zimbabwe, one cooking demonstration at a time.

Through African Vegan on a Budget, Nicola is bringing plant-based nutrition education directly into urban communities, using the ingredients already in people`s kitchens: beans, leafy greens, millet, sweet potatoes, indigenous vegetables. Food that is local, affordable, and deeply rooted in Zimbabwean tradition. Her work challenges a powerful myth, that eating well is a luxury.

With grassroots workshops, community cooking demos, and school programs, she`s reaching the mothers feeding families on tight budgets, the young people seeking healthier lifestyles, and the communities that want practical solutions, not complicated advice.

With a new TPP seed grant, Nicola will reach at least 200 community members through the African Vegan on a Budget Urban Campaign, expanding access to plant-based nutrition education across Harare. 🌱 Support the changemakers already doing the work.

Heather Mason, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Addictions Counselor in South Bend, Indiana, built Safe Paws Recovery Housing because she witnessed, again and again, people staying in unsafe situations, or refusing treatment, simply because they had nowhere safe to bring their animal.

Safe Paws provides temporary, trauma-informed housing for pets while their owners access the care they need, keeping families together and removing one of the most overlooked barriers to recovery. This is what grassroots changemaking looks like: a practitioner who saw a gap no institution was filling, and built the solution herself. Supported by a seed grant from The Pollination Project.
