Arclin expands STEM scholarship program for Kanawha County students | Metro Kanawha | wvgazettemail. com You have permission to edit this article. Arclin, a global materials science company, has expanded its West Virginia STEM Scholarship Program, increasing the award amount to provide greater financial support for Kanawha County students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
This year, the program will award two $2,500 scholarships to Kanawha County students who are currently enrolled or planning to enroll at accredited colleges or universities and pursuing STEM-related degrees.
Arclin’s scholarship initiative is part of the company’s broader commitment to investing in education and supporting the next generation of innovators, helping to drive economic growth and technological advancement across West Virginia. Arclin, which operates a manufacturing facility in Belle, launched its West Virginia STEM Scholarship Program in 2022 to support local students pursuing higher education.
Since its inception, the program has awarded more than $12,000 in scholarships to students in the Kanawha Valley. “We are proud to continue growing our community scholarship program,” said Angel Saunders, Arclin’s Belle Plant Manager. “We encourage all qualified students to apply.

The Robotics Grant Program is a grant from the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) that funds school-based robotics programs for elementary, middle, and high school students. Awarded through a competitive application process, the program provides up to $3,500 to eligible local education agencies (LEAs) in Alabama. Applicants must be public school systems submitting on behalf of schools with K–12 students. The grant supports the purchase of robotics equipment and program development aligned with AMSTI guidelines. Applications are submitted online through the AMSTI Robotics Grant portal.
