Provides funding to Arizona schools, 501(c)(3) nonprofits, and government institutions to support PK–12 and higher education programs, including teacher professional development and classroom initiatives.

Your organization must serve people residing in one or more of the eligible rural communities and have an ACTIVE presence that benefits the local community as a whole. Within this document you will find each social impact, the definition of the impact, successful examples of how to demonstrate that programming achieves the impact and how that will be measured. The template was established by the Foundation and is required. No other budgets will be considered.

Each link contains evidence, research, or tools that can strengthen your measurement practices or help connect the dots between your program's activities and evidence of impact.

RECORDING: Arizona Economic Recovery Center The Arizona Economic Recovery Center (AZERC) aims to enable eligible Arizona cities, towns, counties, tribal communities, and nonprofits to win and implement competitive federal, state, municipal, or foundation grants. Resilience Action Plan Alignment The Freeport-McMoRan Foundation works with a range of committed partners throughout the investment process.

This includes Better City, an economic advisory firm that helps host communities create Resilience Action Plans. These plans involve a community-driven process to engage stakeholders in identifying and prioritizing risks, developing actionable strategies and finding resources for both short- and long-term actions. They are designed to fit with existing community plans and consider local resources and capacities.

The goal of each Resilience Action Plan is to boost the community’s overall resilience and ability to respond to risks and opportunities, supporting long-term prosperity. For the communities where a Plan has been completed, the Foundation aims to support projects that align with these plans through its Community and Social Investment Funds.

Applicants applying for funds in one of Freeport communities listed below are encouraged to review the respective Resilience Action Plan and consider submitting a project that supports a strategic action identified in the plan. Click on a community to access the Resilience Action Plan: Organizations that have applied for a grant previously will have an account in the CyberGrants system.
