Thanks to the Fundholders who partner with us to create charitable funds at the Community Foundation, we offer grants to support our critical Focus Areas. Here’s how our grants work Nonprofits with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status to provide services to Broward County can apply for grants. Individuals are not eligible.
Nonprofits must have a Gold Seal of Transparency from Candid to apply for Community Foundation grants. Other grant eligibility requirements are described in our Focus Area Grant Guide . We offer grants twice a year for four grantmaking Focus Areas (Social & Economic Mobility, Arts & Culture, Education & Youth Enrichment, Healthy & Thriving Communities).
Grant applications for two of our Focus Areas (Strong Nonprofit Community and Building Community & Opportunity) are by invitation only. Deadlines and other details about our grant opportunities are available in our Focus Area Grant Guide .

Try Our 'Virtual Office Hours' Join the Community Foundation's online Q&A sessions for prospective grant applicants where our grants team will answer questions about the application process, provide technical assistance and respond to other inquiries to help nonprofits complete grant applications. The 30-minute sessions are open to representatives of nonprofits serving Broward County residents.
The discussions help nonprofits learn from each other’s experiences, explore ideas, establish partnerships and gain insights into the grant application process. NEW SESSIONS WILL BE COMING SOON.

We launched the South Broward Community Health Hub to cultivate and support opportunities to eliminate food deserts, expand access to healthcare, and improve the overall health of residents.
