Individual Artists - The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida Since 1990, Art Ventures has made more than 225 grants to individual artists and more than 125 grants to small arts organizations. The Individual Artist Grants are designed to help Northeast Florida artists emerge to the next level of their artistic careers. The next opportunity for individual artists to apply for Art Ventures will be in 2027.
Legal residents of Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam or St. Johns County, and have resided in one of these counties for at least 12 months at the time of application Requesting funding for activities which take place during an 18-month grant period of December 15, 2025 – June 15, 2027.
No grant funds may be requested for expenditures which occur prior to December 15, 2025 Students enrolled in an art-related degree program, or planning to pursue a degree in the coming year Curators, promoters, presenters or festival organizers. Eligible applicants are the artists themselves A recipient of a 2023 Art Ventures grant.
Due to the high demand for grants, artists may not receive grants in consecutive grant cycles, and are only eligible for three Individual Artist grants in a lifetime. April 29, 2025: Application opens online May 22, 2025: Application workshop via Zoom, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM. Registration closed.
(workshop recording is available via request) June 24, 2025: Applications close at 5 PM December 4, 2025: Grantees notified of awards December 15, 2025: Grant period begins June 15, 2027: Grant period ends Application closed.
