The following categories are no longer active or have been replaced by a newer RFO. BreakFix Customer Owned Equipment Services BreakFix Customer Owned Equipment Services may include but are not limited to: Furnish all labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials and transportation necessary to repair the equipment at each customer's site in accordance with the OEM service manual.

Provide a toll free hot line/dispatching service available for calls from Customers during business hours. Provide, on an on-call basis, qualified personnel at the Customer’s site within the following response times: One hour, Four hours, Next Day, or Other Make repairs during business hours, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday excluding State holidays.

Labor hours paid under any resulting contract from this RFO shall be only for productive hours at the job site. If a service call is requested for the purpose of inspecting equipment and making a cost estimate to repair equipment, the time required visiting and inspecting (excluding Service shall be on a per-call basis, as needed, and will be charged at an hourly rate in increments of quarter hours (15 minutes) after the first hour.

Per-call shall mean a service visit to the office requesting repairs. If the service technician has to return to the repair site due to a lack of parts, then Vendor is not entitled to the minimum hourly charge for the subsequent visit. The length of time allowed for service charge will be measured from the time the service technician reports to the Customer’s site until completion of the last equipment repair during the service call.

All repairs will be made on-site whenever possible. All replacement parts for a specific device must be that of the original manufacturer, new or reconditioned like new, or a fully compatible unit from another manufacturer. Any repeated service required within this warranty period because of a defective replacement part shall be performed at no charge to the customer.

Cost of parts to complete a repair will be the actual price paid by the Vendor to the manufacturer or distributor of the repair part plus a predefined mark up to offset the administrative costs to order, track, and deliver a part. To ensure comprehensive and adequate coverage of all potential customers in all parts of the State, responding Vendors are required to respond by State Zone.

Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Recovery Products and Related Services Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Recovery Products and Related Services are intended to aid DIR eligible customers in effectively preparing for and preparing for and responding to a variety of disasters and emergency scenarios including natural disasters, chemical spills, forest fires, terrorist attacks, epidemiologic threats and related situations, as well as law enforcement response.

Products and related services include but are not limited to the following categories: Hardware - includes but is not limited to: Emergency Alert Systems (endecs/decoders & other hardware components); Mass communication products; Radios, mobile radios, mobile communications and accessories; Mobile and static command centers; Mobile and ruggedized laptops and tablets; Uninterruptible power supply (UPS); Emergency power and backup; Asset tracking and identification, including radio-frequency identification; Evacuation tracking management; Mobile disaster recovery centers; Global positioning systems; Mobile emergency radio towers and portable repeaters; Drones and drone related products, includes: Group 1 drones – under 20 pounds Group 2 drones – between 21 and 50 pounds Payloads relevant to Groups 1 and 2, including but not limited to: electrooptical (EO) sensors, infrared (IR) sensors, EO/IR dual sensors, sniffers, and LIDAR.

Backup and Recovery – Assists in the planning for resumption of applications, data, hardware, communications (such as networking) and other IT infrastructure. Interagency Collaboration/Interoperability Solutions – Assists in the planning and execution of collaboration and communications between the various entities involved in emergency response.

Resource Management – Assist with organizing and effectively tracking all resources relevant to emergency response. Resources may include, but are not limited to, equipment, commodities, ground transportation and emergency personnel. Volunteer Management – Assists with the planning and execution of effective management of volunteer recruitment, records management and deployment during an emergency.

Hospital Capacity Management - Provides for comprehensive planning and management of available hospital capacity before and during a major emergency event. Emergency Exercise Management – Assist with the planning and execution of emergency exercise training and events. Patient Registration - Manages and facilitates effective and timely patient registration.

Evacuee Management – Assists with identifying and tracking evacuees in emergency events. Emergency Notification - Sometimes referred to as reverse 911, these systems allow for high volume, virtually simultaneous notification regarding emergencies or disasters. May include emergency broadcasting and text messaging.

Includes Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) complaint/alerting software certified to operate in the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) environment. Modeling and Simulation – Assist with measuring emergency planning and decision making. Grant Management - Assist in recovering disaster related funding, including large volume of applications and fund distribution in community recovery efforts after major disasters.

Information Technology Security (ITS) Hardware, Software and Related Services Products and Services for Information Technology Security (ITS) Hardware, Software and Related Services including but not limited to the following categories : IT Security Software is defined as software that provides the means to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of data, computing systems, networks and IT environments.

IT Security Software includes, but is not be limited to the following IT Security Software Categories: Data Integrity/ Data Monitoring Internet Filtering Software Intrusion Detection/Prevention Sandbox Development/Testing Note: Stand-alone hardware is not acceptable under this scope. For hardware to be purchased, it must be bundled with software products (System) and be shown with bundled pricing only.

Managed Security Services (MSS) are defined as DIR Managed Security Services that are outsourced to MSS provider/s (MSSP), in whole or in part for implementation, monitoring and management of security devices, systems and services.

These services may be provided by, but are not limited to, one or more of the following methods: Application Platform as a Service (aPaaS) Cloud-Enabled Application Platform (CEAP) Customer-owned equipment and/or software (CPE) Software-as-a- Service (SaaS) Managed Security Services include, but are not limited to: Risk and Compliance, e.g. Security and Threat Analysis, e.g. Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Log Management and Analysis IT Security Services are defined as technical or operational services that provide the means to evaluate and secure networks and IT environments and include, but are not limited to, the following types of Services Categories: Access, Multi-Factor Authentication and Authorization Control Services Contingency Planning; Operational and Disaster Recovery Data Handling, Integrity and Non-Repudiation Services Identity Management Services Network and System Monitoring and Auditing Services Network and System Capability and Stress Testing Services Network Discovery, Mapping, and Inventory services Secure Asset Configuration and Management Services Secure Software Development Services Security Governance and Advisory Services Security Infrastructure Design, Management and Support Services Security Intelligence and Alerting Services Security Policy Development Security Product Implementation and Management Services Security Training Services Software Integrity and Non-Repudiation Services Virtual System/Infrastructure Design, Implementation, Management and This RFO is not a solicitation for professional or consulting services as defined in Chapter 2254, Texas Government Code.
