Artist Entrepreneurial Grants

Artist Entrepreneurial Grants is sponsored by New Hampshire Arts Council. These grants support opportunities that benefit artists' careers, including the development of business skills, participation in programs to raise the level and quality of their art, and participation in programs that will bring their art to the widest possible markets.

New Hampshire State Council on the Arts Submission Manager Due to changes in funding sources, the N. H. State Council on the Arts is reassessing the programs we offer, including grant support, beginning July 1, 2025.

The state legislature has established in statute a “Granite Patron of the Arts Fund” that is able to accept donations and provide tax credits.

FY2027 Arts Conservation License Plate (Mooseplate) Grants Guidelines for FY2027 Arts Conservation License Plate (Mooseplate) Grants to FY2027 Arts Conservation License Plate (Mooseplate) Grants Arts Conservation License Plate grants fund the conservation of publicly owned artworks or arts documents, artistic elements of publicly owned historic cultural facilities that serve as sites for arts programming, projects that improve public access to significant publicly owned artwork or arts documents, and projects that make publicly owned historic cultural facilities, and the arts programming that takes place in them, more accessible to the public.

Requests may be made for $2,000 - $30,000. No match is required. The Conservation License Plate Grant program begins with a Letter of Intent (LOI) .

The Letter of Intent is a mandatory first step to determine an applicant’s eligibility and whether the proposed project aligns with the grant program guidelines. The artwork(s), arts document(s), or historic cultural facility must be publicly owned in order to apply. The Letter of Intent must be emailed no later than September 30, 2026 in order for the applicant to be eligible to submit a full grant application.

nh. gov . The Program Coordinator will contact the applicant within one week of receipt of the Letter of Intent and confirm if the project is eligible.

The Letter of Intent does not replace the full grant application nor guarantee funding. The grant application deadline for this program is 11:59 PM Friday, November 6, 2026.

Arts Education Artist Roster Guidelines for Arts Education Artist Roster to Arts Education Artist Roster Each year artists interested in engaging with NH schools and communities for arts learning may apply to be included in the New Hampshire Arts Education (AE) Roster of Teaching Artists.

Applications are reviewed by an independent panel for artistic quality and the ability of the artist to share their artistic process with others in educational settings. The Roster is published online on the New England creative directory, CreativeGround . The guidelines and recommendation form for this program can be found here .

Arts in Health Artist Directory Guidelines for Arts in Health Artist Directory to Arts in Health Artist Directory The Arts in Health Artist Directory is a resource for organizations in search of artists who are experienced and skilled in leading projects that deliver health and healing benefits within a variety of health care settings, or in leading public health-focused work in partnership with health-based entities and professionals.

Artists may apply to either the Health & Healing Track or the Public Health Track , or they may submit separate applications to both. Performing, literary, media and visual artists are eligible to apply. Guidelines for this program can be found here .

Traditional Arts & Folklife Listing Guidelines for Traditional Arts & Folklife Listing to Traditional Arts & Folklife Listing The Traditional Arts & Folklife Listing is a directory of traditional artists, community scholars, and folklorists who are available for performances, demonstrations, workshops, and other community-based presentations in New Hampshire.

The Traditional Arts and Folklife Listing is a resource for arts organizations, museums, community groups, schools, and other groups that want to include traditional arts and artists in their programs and for artists who wish to present their traditions in community settings. The Listing provides information about the artist, their traditional art form, and types of presentations offered. Full application guidelines can be found here .
