Mellon Undergraduate Curatorial Fellowship Program The Andrew W. Mellon Undergraduate Curatorial Fellowship Program provides training in the curatorial field for students across the United States from diverse backgrounds.

The program aims to make a critical impact on American art museums by expanding the diversity of their curatorial staff and developing gifted curators who are committed to engaging with the full spectrum of museum audiences. The program is being implemented at six partner institutions.

The Asian Cultural Council supports living costs and international travel for students participating in graduate degree programs relating to the visual and performing arts. Amount: Travel and living expenses A micro-granting organization, funding “awesome” ideas, The Awesome Foundation set up local chapters around the world to provide rolling grants of $1000 to “awesome projects.

” Each chapter defines what is “awesome” for their local community, but must include arts initiative and public or social practice art projects. Center For Engaging Visual Artists The Visual Artist Fellowship is designed to help artists in the Philadelphia Region reach new levels in their career.

Artists will be asked to demonstrate a vision for the next stage of their professional or artistic practice and a clear plan for CFEVA’s proposed role in reaching it. Artists will be selected by an independent Board of Artistic Advisors based on the merit of their artwork and a demonstrated ability to reach stated goals. Four artists will be selected to receive a full range of career support during the two-year Fellowship period.

All artists are encouraged to apply with their current needs and ideas, regardless of their status as emerging, mid-career, or established. Artists within 150 miles of Philadelphia are eligible to apply. Deadline: January with a $35.

The Clark offers various opportunities for promising scholars with the aim of fostering a critical commitment to inquiry in the theory, history, and interpretation of art and visual culture to provide an opportunity for sustained research for fellows, outside of their usual professional obligations, the Clark encourages them to participate in a variety of collaborative and public discussions on diverse art historical topics as well as on larger questions and motivations that shape the practice of art history.

Kinley Memorial Fellowship The fellowships are to be used by the recipients toward defraying the expenses of advanced study in the United States or abroad.

The fellowships are open to graduates of the College of Fine and Applied Arts of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and to graduates of similar institutions of equal educational standing whose principal or major studies have been in the fields of art, architecture, dance, landscape architecture, music, theater, and urban and regional planning. Lauder Fellowship in the MET Amount: The stipend amount for one year is $45,000 for predoctoral fellows and $55,000 for postdoctoral fellows. During the fellowship period and at the Museum's discretion, Leonard A. Lauder Fellows will be eligible to receive one or more travel stipends.

This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal for the following academic year.

The Barra American Art Fellow works full-time (35 hours per week): four days a week assisting with department research and exhibition projects and one day a week on personal research, writing, or travel.

Amount: $40,000 and additional research and travel funds The Philadelphia Museum of Art also offers summer fellowships through the Center for American Art which sponsors two graduate fellowships each summer that enable students to develop curatorial experience while contributing to the Department of American Art’s collection research and exhibition preparation.

Fellows work full-time (35 hours per week) for ten weeks between June 1 and August 30.
