Artists' Emergency Fund is sponsored by Austin Creative Alliance. The Artists' Emergency Fund offers unrestricted funds to artists in the Greater Austin area who have faced unforeseen, catastrophic incidents.

Investing in the Future of Austin’s Art Community The Artists Emergency Fund Provides Immediate Assistance to Individual Artists, Creatives, and Cultural Workers The Artists’ Emergency Fund provides financial assistance to cultural sector workers in Greater Austin facing urgent financial hardship, including: Housing insecurity (risk of eviction, emergency relocation) Food insecurity (inability to afford groceries or essential supplies) Healthcare expenses (including medical procedures, travel, and lodging for necessary care) Eligible artists could apply for up to $1,000 in unrestricted funds.

Stay Up to Date on Funding Since its launch on March 18, 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fund has provided direct support to over 300 artists , distributing nearly $200,000 through generous donations, Facebook fundraisers, and grants from #AllTogetherATX, the Bill Wood Foundation, and anonymous supporters.

While the fund was initially created to address pandemic-related challenges, we recognize that working artists continue to face unexpected emergencies that impact their financial stability. We remain committed to supporting artists in times of need and look forward to reopening the fund in the future.
