Arts & Culture Grant Program: 2025 Guidelines is sponsored by Community Foundation for MetroWest. Invests in local nonprofit organizations providing access to arts and cultural initiatives in the MetroWest region.

Arts & Culture – Community Foundation for MetroWest Art and culture surround us and brings us together. They are a critical component of our community; they have the power to bridge cultures and add a richness to our experiences. Beyond the benefits to quality of life, the cultural sector plays a vital role in boosting the local economy.

Through its Arts & Culture Grant Program, the Community Foundation for MetroWest has historically awarded grants annually that align with our vision for a vibrant community where artistic and cultural initiatives improve the quality of life and contribute to the economic vitality of our region.

deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum To support their Learning and Engagement programs in three learning environments—the Process Gallery, The Lab, and The Grove—through the coming winter, spring, and summer exhibition seasons. Amazing Things Art Center (atac) To support operational costs as they navigate the income losses stemming from COVID-19 related closures and the ongoing economic crisis.

To support their 2021 Speaker Series, including 6-8 presentations tackling topical issues, including race and identity, ableism, climate change, and more. To support the design and installation of outdoor interpretive panels, audio tour, website, and education programs to engage visitors in the Gore Place story.

The Center for Arts in Natick (TCAN) To support the installation of professional-grade video equipment to offer live performances virtually to expand audience capacity and generate supplemental program revenue.

Lexington Historical Society To support the expansion of the historical exhibit at the Hancock-Clarke House to incorporate the stories of enslaved individuals, including interpretive materials, updated tours, and staff training in slavery interpretation and cultural sensitivity around these challenging histories.

The Umbrella Community Arts Center To support their increased community engagement and conversation opportunities through multiple public art projects for MetroWest residents to enjoy safely during and after COVID-19. Hopkinton Center for the Arts To support the addition of a part-time Development staff person responsible for expanding fundraising capabilities for operating needs and a new capital campaign in 2021.

A contribution to the MetroWest Fund for Arts & Culture helps support, promote, and provide access to arts and cultural programming that celebrates creative expression, fosters an appreciation of diversity, and preserves our area’s collective history and heritage. MetroWest takes pride in its rich cultural history and in the quality of its arts and cultural organizations.

Performance venues, art galleries, music schools, historical societies, and more all make their homes in our community. These institutions partner with our towns and cities and each other to provide access to all residents and create jobs for many. They are integral to community-building efforts and are part of what makes MetroWest a wonderful place to live and visit.
