Arts & Culture Grant Program is sponsored by Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS). Funds operational and project-based grants for arts and culture activities taking place in Loudoun County. Supports a range of artistic disciplines, including performing, visual, and literary arts.

Arts & Culture Grants | Loudoun County, VA - Official Website Parks, Recreation & Community Services Arts and Culture Grant Program Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Arts and Culture Grant Program will help promote and advance the arts by providing programming and operational funds to qualifying organizations based in Loudoun County.

These grants will help strengthen Loudoun County's arts and culture sector, as outlined in Strategy 4. 4 of Loudoun County’s Comprehensive Arts Plan . Additionally, these grants will help to promote the economic development, resources and advantages of Loudoun County; beautify and maintain communities; and strengthen neighborhoods across the county.

Applications Open: Monday, August 10, 2026 Deadline: Tuesday, September 22, 2026, 12:00 p. m. EST Grant Period: January 1, 2027 – June 30, 2027 Grant Amount: $5,000 to $15,000; matching not required; a total of $250,000 will be disbursed.

Grants will further the Comprehensive Arts Plan by addressing one or more of the following goals: Providing greater access to high-quality arts programming and activities. Building capacity for organizations working in the arts. Fostering an accessible and inclusive arts and culture community.

Investing in arts education for all ages instills the importance of the arts in day-to-day life. Elevating and promoting Loudoun County, Virginia's resources and advantages. Encouraging collaboration between the arts and culture sector and local businesses, government, nonprofit and other institutions.

Applicants should review the grant guidelines prior to starting an application which outlines eligibility, acceptable project type, timeline, review process, and requirements for grant recipients. The full document will be posted here in the coming month. What can this grant support?

We fund operational and project-based grants; however, each application must include clear, definable activities. Grant activities must take place in Loudoun County. The project can consist of a single activity or be part of a series of activities.

Organizations may apply for any stage of the project from planning through implementation. Loudoun County funds a range of artistic disciplines, as described in the full guidelines, which are generally defined as the performing, visual, and literary arts. Eligibility: Nonprofit 501(c)(3), units of local government, federally recognized tribes or tribal communities, applications through a fiscal sponsor/agent.

One application per applicant. Individuals are not eligible for this grant opportunity. Online applications open Monday, August 10, 2026 in Euna, the county's grant management platform.

The application includes the following sections: Section I – Opportunity Details Overall information regarding the funding opportunity is displayed here, including the award information, how and where to ask questions, and relevant due dates and performance period.

Section II – Applicant Details This section requires the applicant to outline the requested award amount and primary and secondary points of contact for the application package. Section III – Project Information In this section, the applicant provides information to be evaluated by reviewers. Applicants will provide information on the specific project or activities which the requested funds would support.

Applicants will provide details on how the proposed project supports the vision of the County’s Comprehensive Arts Plan. Finally, the application asks about the capacity of the applying organization. Complete the budget and budget narrative for PRCS Arts and Culture Grant funding in dollars you are requesting.

Your budget should be specific and detailed. Refer to the allowable and unallowable cost section in the full guidelines document. Do not include costs that are outside of the grant period of support.

Do not include costs that are outside the scope of the project. For example, do not include the full salary of the Executive Director when that staff member is only going to work on the project for a portion of the work hours. This is where the applicant will submit work samples that support the review of their artistic excellence.

One work sample is required, but no more than three files can be submitted. Section VI – Documents to Upload In this section the applicant will upload several required documents and have the opportunity to share any non-required documents. This includes financial documentation such as 990’s, in good standing with Virginia SCC, and documentation of IRS nonprofit status.

Applicants must provide a response for all required questions of the application to be considered for funding. The full list of application questions will be posted on this webpage this coming month. An Arts and Culture Grant Workshop will be held virtually at noon on Wednesday, August 12.
