Arts in Parks 2027 is sponsored by Seattle Office of Arts & Culture and Seattle Parks & Recreation. Invites individual artists, creative workers, community groups, and organizations to propose projects centering arts and culture activations in City of Seattle-managed parks between May and October 2027.

Arts in Parks Materials - Arts | seattle. gov Festival CentroAmericano, photo by Jenny Crooks Our Arts in Parks grant invites artists, creative workers, community groups, and organizations to propose projects that bring arts and culture activities to Seattle city parks from May through October 2027. You can apply for funding in these amounts to pay for project-related expenses: $2,000, $4,000, $6,000, and $8,000.

Please read the full guidelines for this call. You are eligible to apply for this grant if you meet the following criteria: You are an individual, organization, or community group that presents arts and cultural-centered activations in Seattle at least once a year. You have a residential or business address or a permanent studio/workspace in your name, within King County (or unincorporated King County), where you receive mail.

It cannot be a P. O. Box.

You can use this search tool to see if your address is eligible . You have a Federal Tax ID number (Social Security Number, ITIN, or Employee Identification Number). You are not eligible to be awarded this grant if: You have an open Arts in Parks contract after Dec.

31, 2026 You accepted City of Seattle funding for the same project/expenses. This includes other grants from OAC or SPR. You receive and accept a 2027 Get Moving, or Recreation For All, or Hope For Youth grant from SPR.

We won’t accept applications submitted after this deadline. This timeline is subject to change: Sept. 15, 2026 (9 AM Pacific) – Application opens Oct.

27, 2026 (5 PM Pacific) – Application closes January 2027: Peer panel process completed, including final recommendations for funding reviewed and approved by OAC leadership. February 2027: Notifications are sent to applicants about their award status. May 1 – Oct.

30, 2027: Awardees produce their projects and submit their reporting documents to receive funding. Learn more about this grant, updates to this year’s cycle, and how to submit your best application. We highly encourage first-time applicants to attend.

Submit your W-9 securely online. Download the City of Seattle logo You are the best person to reach your networks and all the people who are most interested in your work. We've seen the best results when artists promote themselves and their events on their own channels, e.g. your own social accounts, email lists, networking, and word of mouth.

Post about your event and tag us. We'll get notified and can boost as our capacity allows. The sooner you tell your project manager about your event, the more likely we’ll be able to fit it into our editorial calendar.

If you have promo materials, please remember to send anything you've produced (flyers, posters, promo graphics, etc.) to your project manager. These items should all include the Office of Arts & Culture name and/or logo . We recommend posting on social and circulating these items at least two weeks prior to your event to increase awareness and attendance.

Press kits provide useful background information for the media when they write previews or reviews of your event. They can take awhile to assemble, so maybe only create them for larger events that media are confirmed to attend. Search the internet for a description and walkthough of how to write a press release and create a press kit.
