org Arts in Society LOI Application Opens July 20 $500,000 in Funding to Support Projects That Promote Cross-Sector Work Through the Arts Denver, CO (July 7, 2026) – From July 20–Sept. 4, 2026, RedLine Contemporary Art Center will accept Arts in Society grant applications for cross-sector projects which engage the arts to address or raise awareness of civic, social, and community challenges statewide.
The application link can be found via Submittable. Note: The open call portal for Letters of Interest (LOI) will go live on July 20, 2026. Information Sessions and Applicant Consultations An online information session on Zoom will be held on July 31, 2026, from 1–2 p.
m. An in-person information session will be held on August 11, 2026, from 5–7 p. m.
at RedLine Contemporary Art Center. Rural information sessions will also be offered in person between July and September across Colorado. Forthcoming locations, dates, and registration information can be found on the Arts in Society website.
https://redlineart. submittable. com/submit About the Arts in Society Grant Over the past nine years, the Arts in Society grant program has provided more than $3 million for projects that foster cross-sector work and support the integration of arts and culture into multiple disciplines, critical to the health and well-being of Coloradans.
The 2026–2027 Arts in Society grant is made possible by funding from the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation, Colorado Creative Industries, Colorado Health Foundation, Denver Arts & Venues, and a cohort of funders from the Pikes Peak Region, including Bee Vradenburg Foundation.
Grants between $5,000 and $35,000 will be awarded to nonprofit organizations, community organizers, individual artists, activists, or other non-arts entities to fund projects that will take place in Colorado between April 2027 and April 2029. Between 25 and 30 grants will be awarded and distributed each cycle.
Chrissy Deal, Director of the Livingston Fellowship and Arts & Social Change Grantmaking with Bonfils-Stanton Foundation, expressed how the organization is looking forward to another year of supporting inspired, community-led projects with Arts in Society’s funding partners: Arts in Society provides an opportunity for Bonfils-Stanton Foundation to learn about and champion creative collaborations happening across the state.
As a Denver-based funder, it not only expands our organization’s reach, but it also underscores the relevance of inspired, arts-based solutions in addressing community needs. Josh Blanchard, Director of Colorado Creative Industries, also shares: The Arts in Society grant program demonstrates so clearly how arts-based initiatives can be the conduit to connect, to heal and to shape communities throughout Colorado.
From addressing public health to environmental resilience, the visionary projects awarded show how creativity can be responsive to Colorado’s most pressing issues, while also furthering access to arts for all in Colorado. In 2026, the Arts in Society grant will continue a two-step application process. Applicants will first submit a Letter of Intent outlining their vision for an Arts in Society project.
After a panel review, selected applicants will be asked to submit a detailed proposal before final funding decisions are made. Grants are determined by a selection panel composed of community members, funders, and previous grantees from across Colorado.
Panelists seek projects that best demonstrate cross-sector work, exhibit cultural relevance, foster community engagement, present opportunities for shared learning, illustrate artistic relevance, and broaden the understanding of the role art plays in society. Arts in Society is a collaborative funding program administered by RedLine Contemporary Art Center and funded by the following partners: Bonfils-Stanton Foundation (2017–present), Colorado Creative Industries (2017–present), The Colorado Health Foundation (2020–present), Denver Arts & Venues (2021–present), Bee Vradenburg Foundation (2022–present), Bloom Foundation, El Pomar Foundation, Joseph Henry Edmondson Foundation, TDB Family Foundation, and the Tiemens Foundation.
