#### Provides public schools with up to $4,000 for projects such as artist residencies, arts field trips, juried student art exhibits, etc. _A Dakota Players/Theatre 605 residency at Ellsworth Public School resulted in a performance of the play “Superhero Show”.
_ ## Dates & Deadlines for FY 2027 (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027) * Request staff draft review at least one week before deadline * _**\_1\_**_ _**\_st of each month, August 2026 – May 2027,\_**_ _or until funds are expended_ * Board Action: 4th Tuesday of the month * Results Notification: Within the next few days after the board meeting * **_Earliest Project Start Date: the first day of the following month_** * Estimated Payment Date: 15th of the following month (if contract completed) _An application submitted August 10 would be in time for the September 1 deadline.
The SMAC Board would make funding decisions on September 22, the fourth Tuesday. The applicant would be notified within a few days following the board meeting and could start their project October 1. Grant funds would be issued on October 15.
