Asian Pacific Fund Grants is sponsored by Asian Pacific Fund. The Asian Pacific Fund uplifts Bay Area Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPIs) by mobilizing resources and amplifying voices.

Funding Initiatives - Asian Pacific Fund Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPIs) make up over 30% of the Bay Area’s population and have the highest number of individuals living at or below the poverty line.

Despite this growing population and rising needs, many nonprofits serving the AANHPI community operate on limited annual budgets, often struggling to secure the necessary resources and limiting their ability to address these critical issues.

A report by Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy (AAPIP) reveals that “for every $100 awarded by U.S. funders, only 34 cents goes to Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities.

” The Asian Pacific Fund (APF) supports a network of more than 90 affiliate nonprofits that are deeply rooted in the community and provide an array of services for AANHPIs, including senior and youth services, health and well-being, counseling, legal services, advocacy, civic engagement, and arts and culture through these initiatives: Accelerating Capacity for Transformation (ACT) for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Communities Learning from models like The Greenlight Fund and Latino Community Foundation’s Nonprofit Accelerator, APF is launching a new program called Accelerating Capacity for Transformation (ACT) for AANHPI Communities, or the ACT for AANHPIs Fund.

This program centers AANHPI nonprofits by providing wrap-around, culturally relevant skill-building and mentorship that will enable selected nonprofits to scale their organizations and impact while valuing and centering culture. Our inaugural cohort of six Bay Area community partners reflects the breadth and depth of our AANHPI communities.

Each organization is deeply rooted in the communities it serves, delivering essential programs and services while responding to evolving local needs with limited resources. Over the course of the program, cohort members are developing stronger organizational systems, expanding fundraising strategies, and building relationships that will help sustain their work and increase their impact for years to come.
