Researcher Exchange Network - Application Form - CSIRO Researcher Exchange Network - Application Form This is your chance to deepen your expertise, boost your career and make a real impact on the future of energy storage. This application forms part of the CSIRO Australia-US Researcher Exchange Network, a program funded by the Department of Industry Science and Resources.

Key provisions in the Terms and Conditions DOCX (46 KB) you must comply with include the: Defence Export Control conditions USA Immigration conditions Australian Government requirements to acknowledge the funding when disseminating outcomes The CSIRO will review your application, and if it considers that you meet the funding criteria set out in the Terms and Conditions DOCX (46 KB) , at its discretion, may invite you to enter into a Grant Agreement containing the terms on which the CSIRO will provide you with funding.
The CSIRO has no obligation to pay you any funding until you enter into a Grant Agreement with the CSIRO. If you do not, or later cease to, satisfy the criteria set out in the Terms and Conditions DOCX (46 KB) and Grant Agreement, the CSIRO may decline to pay you the funding, or require you to repay the funding to the CSIRO. Applications close 30th April, 2026 (or when funds are exhausted).
All travel must be completed and reports must be received no later than 12th June, 2026.

Total Travel Time (weeks): If you are successful, funding may be used for economy class flights, and reasonable accommodation, transportation and expenses. Estimated cost must be no more than AU$10,000. You must deliver your report within two months of the return date, but no later than 12th June 2026, to receive the final payment instalment of the funding.
