By Ari Moledina, Colorado Energy Office The Colorado Energy Office is offering $1 million in grant funding through the APPS program to help local governments adopt an automated online solar permitting platform , such as SolarAPP+ or Symbium. These platforms can instantly verify the code compliance of solar systems and issue permits , saving staff processing time and enabling communities to adopt solar more quickly.
Reimbursable expenses include staff time, installation fees, staff or contractor training, IT or consultants, maintenance and more. Grant award maximums will range from $40,000 – $100,000 and applications open April 2nd, 2024. The APPS program is hosting an informational webinar on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024 from 11 a.
m. – 12 p. m MT.
