Automotive Technician Scholarship Program - MSADA Auto Tech Scholarship Program In 2003, the Massachusetts State Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation began its Automotive Technician Scholarship Program. Since then, the Foundation has awarded in excess of $1,000,000 to more than 200 of the industry’s best and brightest up-and-coming auto technicians. A scholarship award is worth $6,000-13,000 each over two years.
The automotive industry is providing great career opportunities for the country’s top technicians, and Massachusetts is part of this trend. According to the U. S Department of Labor, the demand for auto technicians increases every year.
Your Foundation wants to make sure that qualified students have the means to pursue the advanced education necessary for those careers. The Foundation’s scholarship program expanded in 2009 to include not just manufacturer-backed programs but also general automotive technology programs at a greater number of colleges in the Massachusetts area.
This gives dealers an even greater chance to capitalize on a highly skilled base of potential employees. If you know a great technician at your dealership or a student who simply loves to tinker with cars and wants to make it a career, please let him or her (yes, we have women in the program, too) know about this important scholarship opportunity.
