The program includes the following: Grants of up to $100,000 in the first year, and up to $125,000 per year in the second and third year, for a maximum possible award of $350,000 Dedicated funding for a full-time program manager Assistance for grantees to complete a Commercial District Needs Assessment (CDNA) In-depth group trainings and capacity building support Findings from the CDNA will help grantees to assess neighborhood needs and implement impactful, data-driven projects.

Nonprofit community-based development organizations (BIDs, local development corporations, merchant associations, and other organizations) operating in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods within the five boroughs of New York City Nonprofit organizations incorporated in New York State Organizations compliant with annual State and Federal filing requirements Applications are open now and can be accessed here via SurveyMonkey Apply .

City Fiscal Year 2023 Grantees Bridge Street Development Corporation Neighborhood Served: Crown Heights, Brooklyn Mission Statement: Bridge Street's vision is to preserve the neighborhoods of central and eastern Brooklyn as desirable neighborhoods for raising families, owning businesses and taking part in rich cultural, spiritual and recreational opportunities.

Brooklyn Chinese American Association Neighborhood Served: Bensonhurst, Brooklyn Mission Statement: BCA aims at addressing the needs and concerns of the Asian-Americans as well as acting as liaison between the Asian-American community, the government and various private and service organizations in order to promote a congenial relationship among them.

Its overall goal is to make the neighborhood a better and more prosperous place for New Yorkers of any descent to reside in, and in turn, contribute to the betterment of our Borough and City as well.

Mosholu Preservation Corporation Neighborhood Served: Wakefield, Bronx Mission Statement: Mosholu Preservation Corporation is the Community and Economic Development organization whose mission is to advance the health and wellbeing of communities through small business support, neighborhood development, quality housing, and local news.

Federation of Italian-American Organizations of Brooklyn Neighborhood Served: Bensonhurst, Brooklyn Mission Statement: To preserve the Italian American heritage and culture, to promote and inspire a positive image and legacy of Italian Americans; to strengthen the ties that bind one generation to the next, to create stronger relationships within our multi-cultural society.

Queens Economic Development Corporation Neighborhood Served: Astoria, Queens Mission Statement: The mission of the Queens Economic Development Corporation is to create and retain jobs through programming that assists small businesses, encourages entrepreneurship, and promotes our community with an emphasis on supporting those of low-to-moderate income, women, minorities, and immigrants.

City Fiscal Year 2022 Grantees Asian Americans for Equality Neighborhood Served: Sunset Park, Brooklyn Mission Statement: Through community development, Asian Americans for Equality (AAFE) advances racial, social and economic justice for Asian Americans and other systematically disadvantaged communities, guided by our experiences as Asian Americans and our commitment to civil rights.

Asian American Federation Neighborhood Served: Murray Hill, Queens Mission Statement: The Asian American Federation's mission is to raise the influence and well-being of the pan-Asian American community through research, policy advocacy, public awareness and organizational development.

Bronx Chamber of Commerce Neighborhood Served: Mott Haven, Bronx Mission Statement: The New Bronx Chamber of Commerce - one of the most influential voices for business in Bronx County - is known for its organizational commitment to legislative advocacy.

The Chamber plays an active and significant role in the economic development of the borough, creating new approaches to the challenges faced by members and guiding the extraordinary spirit of Bronx businesses and the future that confronts them.

Neighborhood Served: Canarsie and Homecrest, Brooklyn Mission Statement: The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce promotes economic development across the borough and serves as an advocate for its member businesses. Our mission is to promote a healthy and robust business environment throughout Brooklyn.

Neighborhood Served: Flatbush, Brooklyn Mission Statement: The Church Avenue Business Improvement District seeks to enhance the Church Avenue commercial district for businesses, residents, and shoppers by making it cleaner and safer, promoting the neighborhood as a shopping destination and providing development resources to Church Avenue merchants and property owners.

Neighborhood Served: Flatbush, Brooklyn Mission Statement: To advocate for and leverage Caribbean American hospitality businesses, provide resources, and eliminate adverse actions that have historically affected them. We provide a premiere information portal to the Caribbean diaspora for business services, cultural events and educational development.

Flatbush-Nostrand Junction BID Neighborhood Served: Flatbush, Brooklyn Mission Statement: Through innovation, stewardship and inclusion, the Flatbush Junction BID enables the definition of Flatbush Junction as South Brooklyn's destination for business, culture, education, retail and relaxation.

Neighborhood Served: Fordham, Bronx Mission Statement: The mission of the Fordham Road Business Improvement District (BID) is to foster and promote the growth and vitality of its local business community and strengthen its local economic base.

HABNET Chamber of Commerce Neighborhood Served: Flatbush, Brooklyn Mission Statement: HABNET's Mission is to support and promote entrepreneurship, investment and civic engagement primarily in underserved immigrant communities.

City Fiscal Year 2021 Grantees Bridge Street Development Corporation Neighborhood Served: Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn Mission Statement: Bridge Street Development Corporation's mission is to build partnerships with businesses, government, and other community stakeholders to provide civic and economic opportunities to the residents of Central Brooklyn with a focus on low to moderate-income households.

Morris Park Business Improvement District Neighborhood Served: Morris Park, Bronx Mission Statement: The Morris Park BID aims to enhance the Morris Park Avenue community by providing supplementary sanitation, beautification, safety and district marketing services, to support a thriving and vibrant Morris Park Avenue commercial corridor.

Woodhaven Business Improvement District Neighborhood Served: Woodhaven, Queens Mission Statement: The Woodhaven Business Improvement District was created in 1993 by Woodhaven property owners, business investors, and community leaders in order to complement, expand, and actively encourage the full retail and commercial development of Woodhaven's Jamaica Avenue into the new millennium, and beyond.

City Fiscal Year 2020 Grantees Bay Ridge 5th Avenue Business Improvement District Neighborhood Served: Bay Ridge, Brooklyn Mission Statement: The Bay Ridge 5th Avenue Business Improvement District (BID) is a nonprofit organization of property owners, businesses, residents, and government officials working to improve 5th Avenue's quality of life and promote its economic and cultural vitality.

Lower East Side Partnership Neighborhood Served: East Village, Manhattan Mission Statement: The Partnership's mission is to enhance the unique and diverse character of the Lower East Side by improving overall quality of life and supporting the continued growth and vitality of the local economy.

Queens Economic Development Corporation Neighborhood Served: Richmond Hill, Queens Mission Statement: QEDC's mission is to create and retain jobs through programming that grows our neighborhoods, assists small businesses and promotes tourism and business development.

Sunnyside Shines Business Improvement District Neighborhood Served: Sunnyside, Queens Mission Statement: The mission of Sunnyside Shines is to invigorate and enrich the economic life of the neighborhood by creating a safe, welcoming and dynamic commercial district in Sunnyside, Queens.

City Fiscal Year 2019 Grantees Chhaya Community Development Corporation Neighborhood Served: Jackson Heights, Queens Mission Statement: Chhaya CDC was founded in 2000 to advocate for the housing needs of New York City's South Asian community. Our mission is to work with New Yorkers of South Asian origin to advocate for and build economically stable, sustainable, and thriving communities.

Community League of the Heights Neighborhood Served: Washington Heights, Manhattan Mission Statement: The Community League of the Heights (CLOTH) is a multi-service, community development organization dedicated to supporting and empowering the economically disadvantaged residents of Washington Heights.

CLOTH's holistic approach to community development provides a comprehensive framework of social and neighborhood services to stabilize and strengthen family life. Flatbush Development Corporation Neighborhood Served: Flatbush, Brooklyn Mission Statement: Flatbush Development Corporation (FDC) is dedicated to meeting the needs of a diverse Brooklyn community.

FDC identifies and responds to these needs by creating programs, campaigns, and partnerships through economic development, housing, youth, immigration and other initiatives that promote enhanced quality of life, equity, safety, and preservation of our community.

Greater Hunts Point Economic Development Corporation Neighborhood Served: Hunts Point, Bronx Mission Statement: The Hunts Point Development Corporation was founded in 1988 and for over three decades served as a vital support to the Hunts Point Industrial Zone.

Renamed The Greater Hunts Point Economic Development Corporation in 2017, the organization's mission is to improve the quality of life for businesses and residents in Hunts Point, Longwood, Port Morris and adjacent South Bronx neighborhoods through advocacy, technical assistance and training.

Harlem Park to Park Initiative Neighborhood Served: Harlem, Manhattan Mission Statement: HP2P is a social enterprise representing 200+ entrepreneurs committed to cultural preservation, small business and economic development in Central Harlem – NYC's premiere cultural, dining, shopping, lifestyle and nightlife hub north of 110th Street.

Formed in September 2009, HP2P's membership is comprised of businesses located within the geographic area of Central Park North to 144th street and Morningside Park to Marcus Garvey Park.

Jamaica Center Improvement Association Neighborhood Served: Jamaica, Queens Mission Statement: Founded in 1979, the Jamaica Center Business Improvement District seeks to make the Jamaica Center business district a thriving business hub and an enjoyable destination to shop, work, live, and visit.

Mosholu Preservation Corporation Neighborhood Served: Norwood, Bronx Mission Statement: Mosholu Preservation Corporation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization incorporated in the State of New York on December 2, 1981.

The purposes of MPC are exclusively charitable and for the support of Montefiore Medical Center through the acquisition and rehabilitation of apartment buildings to promote housing opportunities for persons of low and moderate income in the area of the Medical Center, to provide technical, administrative, and other support and assistance to persons, groups, and organizations that have among their purposes combating community deterioration and the production of local news.

Pitkin Avenue District Management Association Neighborhood Served: Brownsville, Brooklyn Mission Statement: The Pitkin Avenue Business Improvement District is comprised of 16 blocks between Howard Avenue and Mother Gaston Blvd extending along Rockaway Avenue between Glenmore and Belmont Avenues. The BID delivers services to our many merchants and owners and has a meaningful impact on our community through quality of life initiatives.

Rockaway Business Alliance Neighborhood Served: Rockaway, Queens Mission Statement: Rockaway Business Alliance will initiate efficient community programming in addition to providing business resources and tools to operate and grow with community-oriented mechanisms, while offering an empowering collective to share input on community and business needs, supporting one another through collaboration.

Organizational Development Grants Avenue NYC Organizational Development Grants are specifically intended to fund nonprofit organizations to provide services and technical assistance to enhance the project and fiscal management, program execution, legal compliance, leadership, and strategic capabilities of community-based development organizations (CBDOs) implementing commercial revitalization activities benefiting low- to moderate-income communities across the five boroughs.
